Summary
We're Intellum, a 25-year LMS used by Google, Amazon, Meta, and Stripe. We're hiring a contract writer to own our point-of-view content: the pieces that take a real position on where our category is headed, and the original-research content built from our proprietary data. This is the writing that gets quoted by other people. If you optimize for keywords instead of arguments, this isn't your seat. There's a paid test, and we pay for it.
What you'll write
What you need to be good at
Nice to have
Experience turning survey or proprietary data into published research An existing presence in the L&D or customer education conversation
What "done" looks like (every piece)
Every deliverable lands as a Google Doc with a clear heading hierarchy, a meta title (under 60 characters) and meta description (under 155), a proposed URL slug, the target query or angle noted at the top, two to four internal link suggestions, and a sourcing appendix with a dated primary source for every statistic. If you can turn a dataset into a clean chart, or spec one precisely enough for us to build, include that. Two rounds of revision are included.
How we work, and what you get from us
We hand you the data, the buyer-language extracts, and scheduled interviews with the people worth talking to. You won't be cold-emailing anyone. We don't pay by the word. POV pieces usually run 800 to 1,500 words; research pieces run longer because the data earns the space.
On AI tools and our bar Use AI tools for research and speed if you like. Every piece still passes a strict editorial and anti-slop check before it publishes, the final has to be original, and we may run AI-detection. The whole point of this role is a human point of view, so writing that reads machine-made is a fail. Recycled or plagiarized work ends the contract.
The details
Ongoing contract, roughly 8 to 12 hours a week to start (around one POV piece weekly plus a larger research piece monthly), 3-month initial term with strong potential to continue. Likely project or retainer rather than pure hourly.
