Summary

We're Intellum, a 25-year extended enterprise LMS used by Google, Amazon, Meta, and Stripe. We're hiring a contract writer to own the content buyers read right before they pick a vendor: comparison pages, buyer guides, and category content. We care about two things: whether AI answer engines cite your work, and whether buyers find it through traditional search. Word count isn't the goal. Coverage and visibility are. There's a paid test, and we pay for it.

What you'll write

  • Comparison and "alternatives to" pages
  • Buyer guides and "how to choose" content
  • Category-definition pages
  • Ongoing refresh of existing comparison content as competitors change their features and pricing

What you need to be good at

  • Dual-surface structure: direct answers up top, question-shaped headings, and FAQ blocks for AI citation, clean comparison tables and crawlable formatting for traditional search ranking
  • Comparison and category content that ranks or gets cited, with samples you can show
  • Holding a category's competitors in your head and writing accurate, current differentiation without being hand-held
  • Verifying every competitor claim against that competitor's own current material, dated. No writing from memory or from old third-party roundups.
  • Working fluency in SEMrush and Google Search Console, and comfort reading competitive intelligence tools — used to optimize for both traditional search ranking and AI citation. A comparison page that earns neither isn't done. Naming products and categories consistently across pages so search and AI engines connect them

Nice to have

Experience in L&D, customer education, or the LMS/LXP space Structured-data and schema literacy

What "done" looks like (every piece)

Every deliverable lands as a Google Doc with a clear heading hierarchy, a meta title (under 60 characters) and meta description (under 155), a proposed URL slug, the target query noted at the top, two to four internal link suggestions, image specs with alt text, and a sourcing appendix with a dated source for every factual claim. You build the comparison tables; we produce screenshots and graphics. Two rounds of revision are included. If that list makes you sigh, this isn't the right gig. If it's already how you work, we'll get along.

How we work, and what you get from us

You won't be guessing at our positioning. We give you the brief, a content inventory for internal linking, competitive intel, and fast review turnaround so you're never blocked. We don't pay by the word and we don't reward padding. Cover the buyer's decision completely, then stop. Comparison pages usually land between 1,500 and 2,500 words.

On AI tools and our bar Use AI tools for research and speed if you like. Every piece still passes a strict editorial and anti-slop check before it publishes, the final has to be original, and we may run AI-detection. Recycled or plagiarized work ends the contract.

The details

Ongoing contract, roughly 10 to 15 hours a week to start (around two comparison pages or one deep category page weekly), 3-month initial term with strong potential to continue.
