Position Summary
As the Senior Content Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our content strategy to effectively engage, inform, and convert our target audience.
You will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and distribution of high-impact content across various channels to create demand and establish our company as a thought leader in the industry. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Sales, Design, plus partners and other external stakeholders.
This role has high potential for growth. You should be a fast-moving, execution-oriented content leader that thrives on experimentation and lives to drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute a scalable content strategy designed to create demand and generate leads. Identify target audience personas, key messages, and content formats to drive engagement, generate leads, and support the entire customer journey.
- Content Creation: Lead the creation of compelling and impactful content, including blog posts, case studies, videos, social posts, webinars, etc. Ensure all content is high-quality, relevant, and optimized for search engines. Manage freelance copywriters, designers, and videographers to scale and uplevel content creation.
- Editorial Calendar and Workflow: Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to plan content production and distribution effectively. Establish streamlined processes, workflows, and standards for content creation, editing, and approval.
- Content Distribution: Collaborate with the marketing team to establish content distribution plans across various channels including our websites, blogs, social media, community, email marketing, and external platforms. Identify opportunities for guest blogging, content syndication, and partnerships to expand our reach.
- Thought Leadership: Position our company as a thought leader in the industry by leveraging content to showcase our expertise and provide unique, valuable insights. Identify opportunities for speaking engagements, webinars, and industry events.
- Content Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance using relevant metrics and tools. Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategy, identify gaps, run experiments, and make updates for continuous improvement.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content. Develop and enforce brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive and recognizable brand image.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, with at least 2 years in a high-growth SaaS environment
- Proven track record of building and scaling a content engine and driving measurable results, preferably within SEO, eCommerce or AI industry
- Strong understanding of SEO and leveraging organic content to create demand within an ICP
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an obsession for details
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate and execute innovative content ideas
- Can articulate visual needs and brainstorm ideas with designers and video producers to create content with strong visuals
- Self-starter with impeccable project and time management skills who can set priorities and drive projects seamlessly from start to finish
- Knows how to leverage AI to scale content creation without sacrificing quality
- Experience with Hubspot, WordPress, and marketing analytics systems
- Has analytical mindset and knack for measuring the impact of content and using data to adjust strategies accordingly
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Desire to be both strategic and hands-on
- Stays up-to-date on rapidly evolving industry trends related to SEO, AI, etc. and thrives in fast-paced industry
