Why am I saying “we”?

It’s just me, Alex, the founder (for now). But I’m growing my agency and am on the lookout for a class email marketing copywriter as my first official* hire.

*I’m not counting my fiancé as a hire. That was just good for tax. But don’t tell HMRC that.

Anyway…

ACT is a growing agency based in the toon (Newcastle upon Tyne). You’ll come up every now and then for training, but for the most part, you’d be working from home.

We work with clients all over the world (LA, Sydney, London – I know. Fancy 💁🏻‍♂️)

We’re known for working in the B2B space – with high-profile coaches and consultants who have memberships/communities/apps/and sell courses (I’ll name drop them all to impress you during our interview, don’t worry).

Our clients expect us to write emails that make them money. We help them convert people on their email list to:

• Grow their membership communities
• Sell courses
• Sell high-ticket bootcamps and programmes
• Sell app subscriptions

Because of the nature of these emails, I’m looking for a class email marketing copywriter who has direct-response experience. That’s very important.

About You:

To thrive in this role:

• You already have 2+ years of experience writing email marketing copy for coaches/consultants/course creators/memberships.
• You’re open to feedback and buzz off continually developing your writing skills.
• You'll love testing new ideas and approaches.
• You’re happy writing for and managing multiple clients with different tones of voice.
• You want to mainly work Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm (flexible hours are available).
• You’ll be happy working from home, but will enjoy the odd 2-3 day in-person training up in Newcastle (expenses paid, obv).
• You’ve got a good sense of humour and no BS approach, which you love bringing into your writing.
• You’ve got an eye for detail. Better than mine, hopefully 😂
• You have creative ideas and love sharing them.

Nice to haves:

• You have experience working with Kit and ActiveCampaign.
• You have made sales and/or generated sales call bookings with email.
