Drum roll, please: we’re looking for a Helsinki-based Content Marketing Manager to join Swarmia! 🥁

And I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself.

Because after spending the last three years running our content engine on the side of dabbling with a billion other things, I can tell you this: there’s nothing better than working at a company where everyone gets the value of great content.

I’m not just talking about leadership buying into content marketing. I mean engineers and product managers who proactively pitch blog post ideas. A CEO and Field CTO who wrote an actual book together. A VP of Sales & Customer Success who wants to spin up a social selling program at Swarmia.

And now we’re looking for someone to take our content to the next level.

The ideal person:

You’ll own our blog strategy and production end-to-end, work with brilliant internal and external writers, and help us experiment with new content formats.

Swarmia is a SaaS product that helps some of the best engineering organizations in the world, including Miro, Docker, and Webflow, ship better software faster.

We’ve grown off the back of high-quality content — including a real book, a podcast, and a well-liked blog. To ramp up our content production volume while keeping the quality bar high, we’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join the team.

In this role, you’ll own the content strategy and publishing schedule for the Swarmia blog, report to the Head of Marketing, and work closely with a cross-departmental team of writers, subject matter experts, and designers.

The role in a nutshell

  • Owning the Swarmia blog, its content strategy, and publishing schedule.
  • Writing blog posts and other pieces of content, including customer case studies and research reports, in collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Sourcing, editing, and publishing content written by internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Ideating and experimenting with other content formats, e.g. podcast, video, and original research.
  • Working with internal and external designers, animators, and video producers as needed.
  • Assisting in various other content and copywriting related projects, including but not limited to writing ad copy and video scripts as well as proofreading and editing other materials such as help center articles and changelog updates.

You might be a great fit if you

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in B2B content marketing, including planning, writing, and publishing content.
  • Are a marketer first and a writer second. You care deeply about grammar and style, but put the business impact of content above any artistic aspirations.
  • Can write flawless English. Please note that you don’t have to be a native speaker, but we expect you to have an excellent command of the English language.
  • Are comfortable writing for technical audiences, including software engineers and engineering leaders.
  • Enjoy editing content from other writers, including authors who are not native or professional writers.
  • Have a good understanding of modern search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and can apply them in your content.
  • Have great interpersonal and communication skills. You’re happy to work with designers and subject matter experts and incorporate their expertise in the content you produce.
  • Have excellent organizational and project management skills. You’re great at planning and prioritizing your own work, setting and communicating deadlines, and taking individual pieces of content from an idea to a published asset.
  • Are comfortable using AI to speed up the parts of your workflow that make sense to automate.
