#StanDOM seeks a creative and highly organized Writer and Editor to the Chair for a part-time, ongoing staff role.
The role involves crafting executive communications for department Chair Euan Ashley, while managing projects from concept through delivery. The position reports to the Communications Director and works closely with internal stakeholders across the department.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt to a leader's voice
- Experience producing content across formats (email, decks, audio, video, etc.)
- Strong project management skills and comfort juggling multiple deadlines
- Self-direction, flexibility and openness to feedback
- An understanding of why human communication still matters in an AI-driven world
Hybrid work is preferred (with some time on Stanford's campus), though fully remote candidates across the U.S. are welcome. Pacific time availability is required for team collaboration.
