Freelance Football Writer for NewcastleToons

I'm looking for a few writers to join me at NewcastleToons for FanSided ahead of the upcoming season!

I'm looking for students, aspiring journalists, or anyone looking to build experience in football media who fancies the opportunity to contribute regularly throughout the campaign.

I know how difficult it can be to find opportunities to actually get your work published and start building a portfolio, hence pitching this to those of you who may be in that position as we speak.

The role will involve writing about Newcastle United across news, transfers, match coverage, opinion and features, with plenty of freedom to pitch your own ideas.

It's a flexible, freelance role that can fit around studies, other work and existing commitments. There is also a small performance-based payment attached to published articles.

Experience ain't important, I'm much more interested in platforming good writers who are passionate about Newcastle (preferably fans as the 'Fansided' would suggest!) and keen to develop.
