Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Ballina, Co. Mayo (with flexibility for the right candidate)

The Role

This isn’t just a scheduling job. This role is about bringing the heart of Ella & Jo to life across every platform and on an international scale.

You’ll be the voice of our brand online, crafting scroll-stopping content, nurturing our vibrant community, and helping shape how thousands of women connect with Ella & Jo every day across Ireland, the UK, and beyond.

Working closely with the Creative Director and wider marketing team, you’ll plan, brief, and deliver content that inspires, educates, and celebrates the women who make up our community across Meta, TikTok, live shopping platforms, and beyond.

This is a hands-on, manager-level role with ownership of Ella & Jo’s organic social presence across all markets. You’ll act as the key social media partner to the Creative Director, contributing creatively and strategically to how the brand shows up every day.

This role will also involve travel for shoots, events, and content days, so a love of variety (and a well-packed overnight bag!) is essential.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

• Growing and engaging Ella & Jo’s social community across key platforms
• Delivering strong, consistent organic social support for product launches and key trading moments
• Creating high-performing, on-brand content that balances creativity with commercial impact
• Continuously evolving content formats, cadence, and platform strategy through testing and insights

Key Responsibilities

Content Planning & Strategy

• Collaborate with the Creative Director and wider marketing team to align social media plans with launches, campaigns, and key brand moments
• Ensure social content supports wider marketing objectives, including key trading periods and brand campaigns
• Develop monthly content calendars that reflect brand pillars and business goals
• Maintain a consistent tone of voice and visual identity that is warm, confident, and unmistakably Ella & Jo
• Bring fresh ideas, new formats, and positive energy to the table

Content Creation & Coordination

• Combine hands-on content creation with coordination of creators and collaborators
• Brief and manage internal and external creators to deliver engaging, high-quality content
• Create, edit, and publish posts, stories, and reels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
• Repurpose content strategically to maximise reach and consistency
• Plan and support content days with the co-founders, capturing the real, joyful essence of the brand
• Travel to events, photoshoots, and content days across Ireland and the UK as required

Social Media Management

• Own the day-to-day management of all organic social channels
• Be the friendly, authentic voice of Ella & Jo, engaging with our community across comments and messages
• Monitor trends and platform performance to continually optimise content and approach

Campaign Execution

• Support the rollout of influencer, paid, and brand campaigns, ensuring organic social execution aligns with campaign objectives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure messaging is cohesive, timely, and impactful

Insights & Optimisation

• Analyse performance and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations
• Use data to refine content strategy, posting cadence, and platform focus
• Share learnings and creative recommendations to continually evolve our social presence

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years’ experience in social media, content, or marketing (ideally within beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands)
• Strong understanding of social platforms (including TikTok), analytics, and emerging trends
• Excellent copywriting skills with a natural ability to connect emotionally
• Confidence using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar
• A creative eye, strong attention to detail, and an organised, proactive mindset
• Ability to balance creativity with structure, deadlines, and commercial priorities
• A genuine love for beauty, storytelling, and community
• Full driving licence and valid passport (travel is part of the fun in this role)

Desirable

• Experience working with influencers or creators
• Understanding of paid social and boosting strategies
• Confidence on camera, happy to create behind-the-scenes or on-screen content

Location & Working Style

This is a full-time, permanent role. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Ballina, Co. Mayo. However, for the right person, we offer flexibility, with the expectation that you are available to be in Ballina regularly for content days, collaboration, and key brand moments.

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year
