The Role

We’re looking for a creative, hands on Social Media Lead (opportunity for contract-to-hire) to drive and execute our brand presence on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. You’ll own social media end to end across all platforms with full responsibility for content creation, community management and overall impact. You will be responsible for delivering month over month engagement and demonstrating the impact of social media content on overall user growth. 

The ideal candidate is someone who’s social savvy, loves brand and internet culture and is excited about iterating and experimenting with new ideas and content formats. This person will be the steward of our brand voice across social media, appealing to both high school students and their parents

Requirements

    • Build a comprehensive social media strategy to bring the brand to life across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
    • Design and execute social media campaigns across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
    • Film and edit videos to post across all channels
    • Ideate on and execute new content and formats
    • Build AI native workflows to optimize how we test, learn and personalize the user journey from off platform to in product
    • Stay on top of trends across social media and marketing and propose on-brand content to align with trends 
    • Build and optimize a holistic content calendar 
    • Partner with marketing and product to support key initiatives and launches 
    • Provide direct, data-backed insights to leadership on what’s working and where to invest

Who You Are

    • 4+ years running social media in-house, ideally for a consumer subscription product
    • Proven track record of creating content that appeals to a high school audience 
    • Demonstrated track record of scaling social media accounts for a 0-to-1 brand 
    • Deep expertise in Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
    • Analytical and data-driven: you track your content beyond just impressions to engagement and impact
    • Strong creative instincts: you know what makes content work and you know how and when to create and launch new content 
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and a lean team: you move fast, stay close to the work, and take responsibility for outcomes
    • Strong cross-functional communication skills that enable to you to present your ideas clearly and concisely to both peers and executive leadership 
    • Naturally curious and hands-on: you’re constantly testing new tools, experimenting with workflows, and finding ways to move faster and get more leverage from your time
    • Low ego, high ownership, and motivated to win
