Role Description
The Social Media Coordinator executes the day-to-day operations of Bioelements social media presence: scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and trend monitoring, ensuring consistent, on-brand, and timely activity across all social channels.
Essential Functions
Calendar and Publishing
- Maintain and update the social media content calendar across all brand channels
- Schedule and publish all social posts, ensuring timely and accurate execution against the calendar
- Coordinate with the Comms and Creative teams to confirm assets and copy are reviewed and approved ahead of publish dates
- Track and report on the publishing schedule to flag gaps or conflicts
- Responsible for the ongoing organization of content and assets to ensure a healthy cadence of publishing
Community Management
- Monitor active social conversations across channels and respond/engage in a timely, on-brand manner
- Build and nurture community engagement by fostering conversation, replying to comments/DMs, and identifying opportunities for organic interaction
- Monitor and maintain business chats and auto responses
- Flag escalations (customer service issues, negative sentiment, sensitive topics) to the appropriate team member
Content Support
- Identify collaboration opportunities with professional partners
- Assist in the creation of social posts: light copywriting, caption support, and content formatting
- Source and suggest content ideas, including user-generated content and repurposed assets that support the editorial calendar
- Support content shoots, behind-the-scenes or supplemental assets as needed
- Coordinate relationships with potential creators/influencers for review by the Content Manager
Trend Monitoring and Reporting
- Track platform trends, emerging formats, and relevant conversations in the skin care/beauty space
- Compile routine social media reports to share metrics with team
- Proactively surface trending opportunities to the Content Manager for evaluation in future content planning
- Monitor competitor and industry social activity to inform strategy discussions
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in social media coordination, community management, or related content support roles
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or PR
- Familiarity with social scheduling/publishing tools (Sprout) and platform-native best practices (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
- Strong written communication skills and comfort working in platforms
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Genuine interest in skin care, beauty, or wellness content a plus
