The Role: SEO Strategist

You'll own the complete SEO strategy for 3-5 client accounts—everything from content roadmaps to technical health monitoring to on-page optimization and performance analysis.

The key part? You make the strategic calls. You assess each domain, identify what will drive results, and allocate resources accordingly. Sometimes that's new content. Sometimes it's updating existing pages. Sometimes it's fixing technical issues first.

You'll work independently with full strategic ownership, reporting to our SEO Account Lead and founders.

What You'll Do 🎯

Own Complete SEO Strategy for Client Accounts (3-5 clients)

    • Assess domain health and independently prioritize strategic initiatives
    • Decide how to allocate resources: new content vs. content updates vs. technical fixes vs. on-page optimization
    • Build quarterly SEO roadmaps aligned with client revenue goals
    • Track performance and adjust strategy based on what's working

Content Strategy & Brief Creation

    • Develop commercial-intent keyword strategies focused on bottom-funnel opportunities
    • Create 8-10 high-quality content briefs per month aligned with search intent and client positioning
    • Incorporate client assets (webinars, podcasts, product updates) into content strategy
    • Review first drafts from writers and provide strategic editing feedback
    • Coordinate with writers on deadlines and delivery

Technical & On-Page SEO Monitoring

    • Run technical audits (site speed, crawlability, indexing issues)
    • Monitor Google Search Console for indexing problems, performance drops, opportunities
    • Identify on-page optimization opportunities (title tags, meta descriptions, schema, internal linking)
    • Provide technical recommendations to clients and developers
    • Track issues and coordinate fixes

Strategic Planning & Analysis

    • Conduct competitor analysis and identify strategic gaps/opportunities
    • Work with SEO Account Lead on strategic direction and expansion opportunities
    • Identify content angles that differentiate clients from competitors
    • Make data-driven recommendations on where to invest effort

Reporting & Optimization

    • Track content performance (traffic, rankings, conversions)
    • Monthly performance analysis and optimization recommendations
    • Provide performance updates to SEO Account Lead and clients
    • Identify what's working and what needs adjustment


What We're Looking For 🔍

Must-Haves:

    • 3-5 years agency SEO experience with exposure to technical, content, and on-page work
    • Technical SEO knowledge—comfortable running audits, using Screaming Frog, troubleshooting in Google Search Console
    • Strategic thinking—you can independently assess domains and prioritize based on impact
    • Tools fluency: Ahrefs/Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4
    • Content strategy experience—you've created briefs and roadmaps (or can learn quickly with our frameworks)
    • Independent decision-maker—you thrive with ownership and strategic freedom
    • Business-minded—you connect SEO work to revenue outcomes, not just traffic metrics

Red Flags (What Won't Work):

    • Limited to one area of SEO (only content OR only technical)—this role requires breadth
    • Need frequent direction on what to prioritize—you'll have strategic freedom and ownership
    • Uncomfortable with technical SEO work or tooling—it's 20% of the role
    • Can't work independently—you'll manage multiple accounts with autonomy

Bonus Points:

    • B2B SaaS SEO experience (especially bottom-funnel/commercial-intent)
    • Experience with revenue-focused SEO (pipeline impact, not just traffic)
    • Comfortable with AI-powered content workflows
    • Based in EMEA (similar timezone to founders)


The Details 📋

    • Contract: Full-time preferred (≈40h per week), open to part-time (minimum 20h per week)
    • Accounts: 3-5 client accounts depending on size and complexity
    • Salary: Competitive. Based on experience.
    • Location: Fully remote (EMEA preferred for timezone alignment)
    • Reports to: SEO Account Lead + Founders
    • Start Date: ASAP

    5. Virtual coffee with the team – Meet our team in a relaxed setting and get a feel for how we work.
    6. Welcome aboard! – Once everything's aligned, we'll schedule your onboarding and assign your first accounts.
