What you'll do:
As a SEO Consultant at SALT.agency, you will lead and deliver technical and strategic SEO campaigns across a portfolio of clients, acting as both a Client Delivery Manager and, increasingly, a Client Relationship Manager. You'll develop and present SEO roadmaps aligned to client business objectives, drive performance reporting, and ensure your recommendations are clear, actionable, and tied to measurable outcomes. Working across SaaS, eCommerce, Travel and more sectors, you'll build deep commercial awareness and develop the ability to communicate SEO strategy in terms that resonate with client stakeholders.
Beyond campaign delivery, you'll actively support the coaching and development of junior team members, contribute to SALT's internal transformation initiatives, and help refine the frameworks and processes that underpin our service. This is a role for a well-rounded SEO professional who is equally comfortable with the technical and strategic sides of the discipline, and who is ready to grow into a trusted expert for their clients.
About you:
❖ A minimum of three years of SEO experience, with strong knowledge of both strategic and technical SEO
❖ Expertise in core SEO principles including keyword optimisation, backlinks, content optimisation, user experience, and performance analytics
❖ Good technical SEO knowledge, including crawlability, indexation, page speed optimisation, schema markup, and migrations
❖ Proficient understanding of algorithm updates and their implications, including EEAT, Helpful Content, and core updates
❖ An awareness of AI search developments and how the evolving search landscape, including LLM visibility, is reshaping SEO strategy and client recommendations
❖ Good understanding of common website technologies such as CDN and CMS solutions
❖ Confident using tools including Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, GA4, and Looker Studio
❖ Strong client-handling skills, with the ability to simplify and bring to life complex SEO concepts for diverse stakeholders
❖ Excellent collaboration, organisational, and communication skills
❖ A proactive attitude with a passion for SEO and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends
