Senior Science Content and Digital Media Specialist

The role

You'll be embedded at a NOAA laboratory or program, providing day-to-day writing, visual content creation, and editorial support across digital, social media, and print platforms. You'll research and write news stories about atmospheric science, develop graphics and videos for Instagram and YouTube, and shepherd content through NOAA's scientific review process. This is a contract role requiring in-person presence at one of several NOAA locations, with remote positions expected to work in the office each Tuesday if based in Silver Spring, MD. You'll collaborate with NOAA teams and advise the OAR Communications Director on content strategies.
