The Senior Content Strategist leads complex content initiatives and strategic content projects. Senior Content Strategists are expected to lead the development of content approaches for significant projects and serve as an expert advisor to clients and internal teams. The person in this position will synthesize research from various sources, such as peer-reviewed journals,trade and mainstream media, research funding organizations, market analyses, and others, to develop thoughtful and compelling content strategy for a diverse range of clients. Senior Content Strategists are also responsible for contributing to the writing and development of assets that enable authentic communications between our clients and their critical audiences, including, but not limited to whitepapers, articles, infographics, brochures, social media copy, web copy, and much more. The ideal candidate will come to us with a strategic mind and an insatiable curiosity to learn about new subjects, and will be responsible for contributing to strategic content plans and supporting assets. This role requires a reporter’s knack for asking thought-provoking questions, a researcher's curiosity to find deep strategic connections from media, research, and market data, and an ability to confidently communicate with clients. This position can be remote or in-person, and reports directly to the Vice President, Content Strategy Development.
Lead the development of strategic content plans for assigned projects and clients.
Conduct and interpret content audits, audience research, scientific research, and communications intelligence.
Translate client objectives into content recommendations, editorial approaches, and content roadmaps.
Lead client discussions regarding assigned content strategies and initiatives.
Determine appropriate content formats, channels, and approaches for specific communications objectives.
Lead complex writing assignments and high-priority content development.
Guide Content Strategists and Content Developers on research, writing, and project execution.
Review content for strategic alignment, scientific accuracy, clarity, tone, and audience appropriateness.
Coordinate with PR, digital, creative, and other teams to ensure content supports broader communications strategies.
Identify proactive content opportunities and emerging themes.
Manage defined content projects from planning through completion.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or advanced scientific degree preferred.
Approximately 4–6 years of relevant content, scientific communications, medical writing, or strategic communications experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop content strategies and lead complex projects.
Excellent writing, editing, research, and presentation skills.
Data analysis skills a plus
Strong client-facing abilities.
