What to Expect

The Senior Content Specialist is a writing-focused, senior execution role responsible for developing high-quality content for franchise and multi-location brands across channels, while contributing strategic thinking to messaging, campaign planning, and content optimization.

This role is first and foremost a strong content writer, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling content that supports lead generation, sales enablement, and brand storytelling. In addition to execution, this role brings a strategic mindset—contributing to messaging, campaign ideas, and content planning in collaboration with internal teams.

You will work closely with the Senior Content Director and cross-functional partners (Paid Media, PR, Creative, and Account Services) to develop and execute content that aligns with business goals and drives measurable results.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both thinking and doing—someone who can take direction, contribute ideas, and independently produce polished, effective content in a fast-paced agency environment.

What You Will Do

Content Development & Execution

  • Write and edit high-quality content across formats, including blogs, website pages, landing pages, case studies, white papers, email campaigns, ad copy, and social media content
  • Develop content tailored to business audiences and various stages of the buyer journey, from awareness through decision-making
  • Translate messaging frameworks and campaign direction into clear, compelling, audience-specific content
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, engaging, and aligned with business objectives

Strategic Contribution

  • Support development of content calendars and campaign plans
  • Contribute ideas, messaging angles, and content opportunities based on client goals and audience needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align content with broader marketing initiatives
  • Review performance insights and help identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness

Editorial & Optimization

  • Edit and refine content for clarity, structure, tone, and consistency
  • Audit and update existing content to improve performance and alignment
  • Apply SEO best practices and optimize content for search and user experience

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work cross-functionally with strategy, paid media, PR, creative, and account teams
  • Incorporate feedback and adapt content based on input from multiple stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Work within project management systems (e.g., Teamwork, Asana, Monday.com) to manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables independently

What We’re Looking For

  • B2B content marketing experience (lead generation and/or sales enablement preferred)
  • Agency experience working across multiple clients
  • Strong long-form and short-form writing ability (web, email, case studies, landing pages, social media, ad copy, etc.)
  • Ability to write for business decision-makers and translate complex topics into clear, persuasive messaging
  • Experience with SEO-informed content and website optimization
  • Strong editorial judgment (tone, voice, clarity, and structure)
  • Experience working across multiple clients, deadlines, and cross-functional teams, with the ability to collaborate and incorporate feedback effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate content decisions
  • Experience working within project management systems (e.g., Teamwork, Asana, Monday.com), with the ability to independently manage tasks and deadlines
  • Familiarity with AI tools to support content development and workflow efficiency

Nice to Have

  • Franchise or multi-location brand experience
  • Experience with conversion-focused or sales enablement content
  • Familiarity with tools such as SEMrush, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, and project management tools
