We are seeking a commercially minded audience architect to play a key role in the next phase of growth across our premium podcast network and emerging video-first franchises. The Managing Director, Audience Growth & Development will sit at the intersection of content, data, and culture, owning how our shows find their audiences and how those audiences grow over time. You’ll work closely with our content, revenue, and partnerships teams to develop and execute growth playbooks across organic and paid channels. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Roles and Responsibilities

Audience Strategy & Growth

  • Own Lemonada’s audience growth strategy across audio, video, social, and emerging platforms. Architect the systems that transform new series into breakout franchises and scale existing shows into durable audience ecosystems
  • Lead the development of integrated launch frameworks for new series, ensuring platform-native packaging, distribution, and measurement are built into the creative process from the outset
  • Build and maintain a launch playbook that can be applied consistently across the show portfolio (and know when to adapt it)
  • Design and oversee the company’s distribution architecture across YouTube, social platforms, podcast feeds, newsletters, and emerging channels. Build repeatable growth loops that expand reach and deepen engagement
  • Create marketing plans for new content and present them to internal and external stakeholders
  • Track and analyze audience metrics across platforms, turning data into clear recommendations
  • Manage paid media campaigns end-to-end: strategy, budget, creative briefing, and performance analysis.
  • Partner closely with Content, Revenue, and Partnerships Teams to ensure audience growth directly supports Lemonada’s commercial strategy. 
  • Collaborate upstream with the production team on series format, titles, thumbnails, and platform fit from the earliest stages of development through regular publication
  • Track post-launch performance and iterate quickly based on data.
  • In collaboration with sales, envision and execute 360 campaigns that stretch across audio, video, and social platforms
  • Translate audience insights and cross-platform engagement into premium advertising, branded entertainment, and integrated sponsorship opportunities.
  • Help shape scalable monetization surfaces, including video inventory, live experiences, premium content, and talent-led partnerships, ensuring growth strategy and commercial packaging evolve together.

Organizational & Brand Expansion

  • Strengthen Lemonada as a destination network by building systems that drive audience flow across shows, franchises, and platforms. Develop cross-show programming, promotion strategies, and shared audience moments that compound growth across the portfolio.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics across functional teams that will be built into the launch process. Partner closely with Content, Growth, and Revenue teams to continually evolve these to drive performance in alignment with broader business goals
  • Manage and develop a small team of high performing individuals while building the capabilities required for Lemonada’s next stage of scale, including video platform expertise, analytics, and performance creative.
  • Define the company’s audience performance framework across video, audio, social, newsletters, and community. Provide clear visibility into growth drivers, performance trends, and investment priorities, ensuring data consistently informs strategic decisions.

Required Competencies

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in podcast audience development, growth strategy, or digital media distribution across audio, video, and social platforms A proven track record of scaling organic audiences and building breakout digital franchises
  • Deep fluency in platform-native growth dynamics , including YouTube, social distribution, and podcast ecosystems
  • Experience shepherding the transition from audio-first to video-first ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable growth systems, not just campaign-level wins
  • Experience planning and executing paid media campaigns, including creative direction and performance optimization
  • Strong creative and editorial judgment, with the credibility to influence content strategy and packaging decisions
  • Experience managing team members and coordinating with independent contractors (as needed)
  • Fluency in both podcast mechanics (cross-promotion, feed strategy, release cadence) and video
  • platform growth (YouTube packaging, retention, algorithmic distribution)
  • Commercial acumen, with experience translating audience growth into advertising, sponsorship, and brand partnership revenue
  • Experience working with or marketing high-profile talent
  • Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with platform analytics tools and translating data into action
  • Clear communicator: you can present a strategy to executives and write copy that converts
  • Experience within creator-led media companies, premium podcast networks (with video content), or digital-native publishers is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrates Lemonada’s core values: empathy, mission-driven, and honest
  • Background in podcasting, web series, or audio/video content is a strong plus

Employment Logistics

This position is full-time. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. We also offer Medical, Dental, Vision benefits, Life and ST Disability Insurance, Medical and Dependent Care FSA, 401K and Flexible PTO to all full-time employees in addition to a generous holiday schedule, including 2 weeks of org-wide shared time off in December.

Desired Start Date: March 2026  

Salary:  $105,000 – $135,000 depending on experience

Location: Flexible, Remote (US-based)
