Job summary
The Massachusetts General Hospital Down Syndrome Program (MGH DSP) is a collaborative, multidisciplinary team serving people with Down syndrome of all ages and their families. We provide evidence-based clinical care, education, and cutting-edge research so that individuals with Down syndrome can reach their full potential.
The MGH DSP is seeking a Science Writer to collaborate with our Primary Investigators to draft, edit, and refine research manuscripts, grant proposals, and educational materials that communicate Down syndrome research clearly and accurately. The Science Writer collaborates closely with researchers and clinical investigators to translate complex scientific and clinical information into accessible content for medical professionals, patients, families, and the public.
Responsible for communicating complex scientific information to diverse audiences in a clear and engaging manner in order to bridge the gap between researchers and the public, conveying the significance and impact of clinical research findings through various written materials.

Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study required. Master's Degree preferred. Cannot accept experience in lieu of a degree. 1-2 years of Science Writing/Healthcare Communications experience required.

Pay range: $50,502.40 - $82,014.40/Annual (Grade 6). Base pay is determined based on skills, relevant experience, education, and certifications. In addition to base pay, comprehensive benefits, career advancement opportunities, differentials, premiums, and bonuses may apply.
