Product Marketing

My team is looking for a mid-level Product Marketing Specialist at Pentest-Tools.com.

You're it if you bring:

🎯 Curiosity — about the why of messaging, about the cybersecurity industry, about the craft itself. We can teach a lot. You have to bring that ;)
🎯 Ability to move fast across stakeholders — product managers, security specialists, sales, customer success — without dropping the thread.
🎯 A passionate critical thinker. We want to be challenged!

We bring a team that's genuinely fun and supportive, which I don't say lightly — I work with them every day. 👋 Andra-Larisa Zaharia, Stefan Perju, George Florin Stoica

We’re looking for a mid-level Product marketing specialist to join our team and help us communicate the value of our product more clearly, consistently, and compellingly - across the full customer journey.

If turning complex product capabilities into content and flows that click with technical buyers is what tickles your brain, this might be the right next step for you (especially if you want to grow into the full scope of product marketing over time).

We’re especially excited to meet candidates who are curious about why messaging works, not just how to write it. Apply below if you’re someone who asks questions, learns fast, and cares about getting things right.

At Pentest-Tools.com, we help 2,000+ security teams in 119+ countries uncover, validate, and report vulnerabilities with high accuracy.

Your work will shape how prospects understand our product, how customers make the most of it, and how our team tells our story with confidence.

Responsibilities and workflow

As a product marketing specialist, you’ll develop content that connects our product’s capabilities to our customers’ real-world problems - and gives our product, customer success, and sales teams the tools to do the same.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing, with our Product marketing & Growth lead, and also with product managers, and security specialists to make sure every asset you create is accurate, relevant, and grounded in how our customers actually think and work.

Product marketing content (primary focus)

  • Support product and feature launches by writing product update announcements and changelog entries that are informative and on-brand
  • Contribute to go-to-market messaging for new features and tools by working with the Head of Marketing and product team to translate positioning into content
  • Write and refine in-product and onboarding content, including guides, tooltips, and knowledge base articles that help new users get value faster
  • Research and write competitor comparison battle cards that are accurate, fair, and useful to buyers doing their evaluation
  • Support persona and buyer journey work by contributing to documentation of customer profiles, pain points, and content needs at different stages
  • Keep product content up to date: fact-check existing pages, update screenshots and data, and flag outdated messaging as the product evolves
  • Write and improve product and feature website pages that speak directly to security professionals - translating technical capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions
  • Develop use case content, support demo sessions, and create how-to guides that connect what our tools do to the workflows our customers rely on

Sales enablement content (supporting vertical)

  • Write case studies and customer success stories that make the outcomes of using our product concrete and relatable for buyers
  • Develop solution briefs and one-pagers for key use cases, buyer personas, and industry verticals
  • Contribute to competitive materials: battle cards and positioning guides that help the customer success and sales team speak confidently about what sets us apart
  • Support the creation and refinement of partners and sales presentations in collaboration with marketing leadership
  • Help maintain the partners and sales content library, keeping materials current and easy to find

Editorial collaboration

  • Partner with content writers and other specialists to ensure consistency in product messaging across formats and channels
  • Provide editing support on customer-facing content including FAQs, knowledge base items, and product walkthroughs
  • Contribute to content audits - identifying gaps in product marketing coverage and flagging opportunities to improve or expand what we have

What success looks like

In your first few months, we’ll invest time in getting you up to speed on the product, the customers, and the competitive landscape. You’ll start contributing to product page updates and launch content early, and build from there.

Over time, you’ll develop a strong instinct for our product messaging and take on increasing ownership of the content that supports both our marketing funnel and our sales team.

Success means our product pages are clearer and more persuasive, our launches are well-supported with great content, and customers and prospects consistently come away with a sharp understanding of what makes Pentest-Tools.com worth choosing.

We’re looking for

A sharp, curious content specialist with a growing interest in product marketing - someone who takes their craft seriously, asks good questions, and wants to understand the why behind the content they create.

You’re a great fit if you’re organized, collaborative, and motivated by work that has a clear and measurable impact on the business.

You’ll need:

  • 3–5 years of content writing experience in a SaaS, B2B tech, or cybersecurity environment, with examples of product-focused content in your portfolio
  • A knack for translating complexity into clarity: you can take a dense technical capability and make it feel relatable and relevant to a knowledgeable audience
  • Strong research and interview skills: you know how to extract useful insights from product managers, engineers, and customers - and turn them into content that resonates
  • Attention to detail and a high quality bar: you’re meticulous about accuracy, and you care about getting the details right, especially in a technical context
  • A collaborative working style: you communicate clearly, manage your own workload, and follow through on what you commit to
  • Genuine curiosity about cybersecurity: you don’t need a cybersecurity background, but you need to be willing to learn enough to write with accuracy and authority

Bonus points if you:

  • Have hands-on experience with product marketing content: feature pages, use case content, launch materials, or competitive analysis
  • Have contributed to a product launch or go-to-market campaign, even in a supporting role
  • Are familiar with SEO principles and how they apply to product and use case content
  • Have worked with a CMS to publish and manage content
  • Have some familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, tools, or workflows

How to apply

Ready to make your mark?

Send us:

  • 3 samples of your best work - ideally including at least one product or feature page, and one piece that required you to understand a technical topic and make it accessible
  • A link to your portfolio, website, or professional profiles

If you’re the kind of writer who gets curious about how products work and why customers care - and you want to build a career at the intersection of content, product marketing, and the fascinating cybersecurity community - we’d love to hear from you!

Team dynamics

You’ll be part of an experienced, collaborative marketing team that includes senior specialists in product marketing, brand communication, copywriting, content marketing, and community building. We work as partners, not silos, and hold ourselves to a high standard because we believe in the work we do.

We believe people do their best work when they feel safe to ask questions, test ideas, and learn from each other. It’s especially important to us that each team member gets what they need to grow - so you’ll have full support to make progress on your goals while contributing to ours.

We follow a hybrid model: 2 days/week in the office (Bucharest) and the rest remote. We use Slack, async docs, and scheduled calls to keep communication clear and focused.
