Part-Time Marketing & Content Lead (Nonprofit + Recurring Giving Focus)

15 hours/week | Fully Remote | Ideally Atlanta-based | Flexible Schedule

Positive Equation is hiring a part-time Marketing & Content Lead to help us grow the movement behind recurring giving. Our whole mission is helping nonprofits build and scale monthly giving communities so they can bring in steady, sustainable revenue.

The Role

You’ll help bring our marketing strategy to life day-to-day, making sure everything we share connects back to real business goals. 

You’ll own the content calendar and create content across our main platforms - turning big ideas into consistent, high-value content that grows our audience and supports our programs, events, and community.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing + Planning

  • Execute a strategic marketing plan aligned with business goals and quarterly priorities.
  • Translate priorities into marketing initiatives, campaigns, and weekly action plans.
  • Identify opportunities to grow reach, engagement, leads, and sales across channels.
  • Support marketing for products, programs, partnerships, speaking engagements, and events.

Content Calendar Ownership

  • Own and maintain the marketing content calendar in Notion (topics, deadlines, promotions, campaigns).
  • Plan content around launches, seasonal themes, and strategic focus areas.
  • Keep us consistent and on track - while still leaving room for creativity and real-time opportunities.

Content Creation + Repurposing

  • Create and publish content across primary channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Repurpose podcast and long-form content into short-form assets (reels, carousels, posts, clips).
  • Maintain our brand voice that’s warm, clear, smart, real, and sometimes a little spicy when it fits.
  • Bring fresh ideas for content series, community growth, and campaign storytelling.

Podcast + Video Content Support

  • Edit and produce podcast marketing content using Riverside (including AI social-ready clips).
  • Help optimize YouTube content for growth, discoverability, and engagement.

Email Marketing

  • Following templates, help draft and schedule newsletters and/or campaign emails in Flodesk.
  • Ensure email content is consistent, valuable, and aligned with current priorities.

Reporting + Optimization

  • Track KPIs using Looker and summarize performance trends.
  • Offer data-informed recommendations to improve results.
  • Provide a simple weekly or bi-weekly snapshot: what’s working, what’s not, what’s next.

Content Capture Support (Occasional Travel)

  • Join Dana on select speaking engagements (as schedules allow) to capture behind-the-scenes content, stories, and event moments.
  • Travel is occasional and planned in advance.

Tools You’ll Use

You don’t need to be proficient in every tool on day one, but comfort + curiosity matter.

  • Riverside (podcast recording/editing)
  • Notion (project/content management)
  • LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube (primary channels)
  • Flodesk (email marketing/newsletters)
  • Looker (KPIs, reporting)
  • Canva (light design + content creation - required)
  • ChatGPT / AI tools (ideation, repurposing, optimization, efficiency)

You’re a great fit if you…

  • Have marketing experience, ideally in a small business, agency, or nonprofit-related space.
  • Are both strategic and hands-on - you can plan the content and create it.
  • Have a genuine heart for nonprofits and feel motivated by mission-driven growth.
  • Understand (or are eager to learn) recurring giving / membership / subscription-style models.
  • Write strong, engaging copy with a warm, confident voice.
  • Have light design skills and feel comfortable creating content in Canva (required).
  • Are knowledgeable and familiar with ChatGPT/AI tools and excited to use them wisely.
  • Are organized, proactive, and consistent with deadlines.
  • Can interpret metrics without overcomplicating them.
  • Work well independently and communicate clearly.

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have experience in fundraising, donor psychology, or monthly giving.
  • Have marketed coaching programs, masterminds, memberships, events, or digital products.
  • Are based in or near Atlanta and open to occasional in-person collaboration.
  • Enjoy testing ideas, learning fast, and improving as you go.

Hours + Compensation

  • We’re looking for someone who can prioritize well, keep things moving, and focus on the highest-impact work for ~15 hours/week
  • Fully remote with a flexible schedule + potential co-working space if local to Atlanta
  • Preferably Atlanta-based
  • $2,400/month retainer
  • Quarterly bonuses based on goals and impact
