So I’m looking for a Marketing generalist with minimum 3 years experience to take on this role.

ABOUT KAIJEGO

Kaijego is a premium travel brand built for the modern explorer. We curate bespoke group trips and private travel experiences, paired with expert visa application support and concierge services that remove every friction point from the journey.

Our clients trust us with their most meaningful moments: first solo trips, milestone birthdays, honeymoons, bucket-list adventures, and corporate retreats. As we grow our footprint across Nigeria and the diaspora, we are looking for a marketing manager to sit at the centre of everything we do, and tell compelling stories that inspire more people to travel and explore the world.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior role that owns the entire marketing function at Kaijego. You will be the architect of our brand presence, the engine behind our revenue campaigns, and the voice our community hears every day. If you are a self-starter who thrives on building things from scratch, moves fast, and knows how to turn storytelling into sales, this role was written for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media & Content

  • Own and manage all Kaijego social media channels and blog: Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, Threads, WhatsApp community and LinkedIn
  • Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned to product launches, seasonality, and cultural moments
  • Create or coordinate the creation of high-quality visual and video content that reflects the premium feel Kaijego is known for
  • Monitor, respond to, and grow engagement across all platforms daily
  • Track analytics and optimise content strategy based on performance data

Community Management

  • Manage and grow Kaijego's community, nurturing members from awareness to conversion
  • Develop community engagement strategies to keep members active, informed, and excited about upcoming trips
  • Act as the first point of contact for community enquiries, escalating to sales where appropriate
  • Build loyalty and referral initiatives that drive word-of-mouth growth

Email Marketing

  • Build, segment, and grow Kaijego's email subscriber list
  • Design and execute email campaigns for trip launches, promotions, visa tips, and newsletters
  • Create automated email sequences for lead nurturing, onboarding, and post-trip follow-up
  • A/B test subject lines, copy, and CTAs to optimise open and click-through rates

Campaign & Sales Marketing

  • Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns that directly drive trip sales and package sell-outs
  • Develop creative campaign concepts for new product launches, limited-availability packages, and seasonal promotions
  • Manage paid social and digital advertising (Meta Ads, Google Ads) to drive traffic and leads
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering team to build landing pages and manage campaign assets end-to-end

Brand & Partnerships

  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels, communications, and marketing materials
  • Identify and manage collaborations with influencers, travel content creators, and lifestyle brands that align with Kaijego's audience
  • Develop PR opportunities: media features, podcast appearances, and press coverage where necessary
  • Represent Kaijego's brand voice in all external communications

Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop and present a quarterly marketing strategy aligned to revenue targets
  • Track and report on KPIs including reach, engagement, lead generation, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Stay ahead of travel industry trends, Nigerian consumer behaviour, and platform algorithm changes
  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently, maximising return on every naira spent

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in a marketing role, ideally within travel, lifestyle, or hospitality. B2C tech startup experience is also great.
  • Proven track record of managing social media accounts that drove measurable audience growth and engagement
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing email marketing campaigns (Customer.io, Flodesk, Klaviyo, or similar)
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write compelling captions, email copy, ad copy, and campaign messaging in a distinctly Nigerian voice
  • Experience running Meta Ads and/or Google Ads campaigns with a focus on ROI
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and own the full marketing function without hand-holding
  • Deep understanding of the Nigerian travel consumer: their aspirations, pain points, and buying behaviour
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable using data to make decisions and report performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Good taste and an eye for beauty + good design
  • Prior experience at a startup and/or in the travel, hospitality, or concierge industry
  • Experience managing WhatsApp communities or group marketing
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar) or experience briefing designers
  • Video content creation and editing experience for Reels/TikTok using CapCut or other mobile editing apps
  • Experience with CRM tools and lead management platforms
