Managing Editor

It's always fun to begin a post this way: we're hiring!

The Media Copilot is looking for a Managing Editor. We're looking for a working journalist with at least three years managing content and people. This is a part-time contract position, with time divided among our several editorial initiatives:

• First and foremost, nurturing our ongoing partnership with the Reynolds Journalism Institute and News Media Help Desk by recruiting writers, managing their work, and producing great service journalism on what newsrooms are doing with AI.
• Editing our daily news stories about what's happening at the intersection of media and AI.
• Working with me to sharpen and grow The Media Copilot newsletter, which thousands of media professionals already rely on to track AI's impact on journalism.
• Building out The Media Copilot network of guest writers, providing great strategic thought leadership on AI's growing role in media.
