Freelance Writer

ACS BrandLab is looking to add writers to our freelance pool. We're especially interested in hearing from early- to mid-career writers who are strong storytellers, clear communicators, and comfortable working across a range of formats.

While ACS BrandLab often creates content for scientific audiences, this opportunity does not require a science background (though it is a plus). We're looking for writers who can bring curiosity, structure, and polish to assignments that may include emails, short human-interest articles, profiles, Q&As, and video scripts.

The right person will be able to:

• Write clearly and engagingly for professional audiences
• Find the story in research, interviews, or background materials
• Meet deadlines and communicate proactively
• Respond thoughtfully to editorial feedback
• Adapt tone and structure across different types of content
• Follow ACS brand guidelines

This could be a good fit for writers with experience in journalism, content marketing, or nonprofit/association communications.
