Freelance Scientific Communications / Medical Writer, part-time opportunity at Flo Health.
I'm looking for an experienced science communicator to help us bring Flo's research and scientific work to life for audiences beyond academia.
You'll work closely with our Science team and colleagues across PR, Social, and Marketing to:
- Lead and support communications around our research and publications
- Translate complex scientific findings into clear, engaging content for LinkedIn, social media, blogs, and other external channels
- Support press releases, research announcements, and external scientific storytelling
- Develop and manage science-related website and blog content
- Help us find creative ways to make our science accessible and engaging to broader audiences
Requirements
- Masters/PhD in biomedical science, epidemiology, bioengineering, public health, reproductive health or any other health-related discipline
- Strong experience (7-10 years) writing for media outlets and other public-facing channels
- Experience building an engaged audience around scientific topics
- A strong understanding of what makes science resonate with audiences beyond the scientific/medical community is essential
