Freelance Plain-Language Copywriter and Communication Strategist

The role

You'll help a large, regulated South African client turn technically correct but unreadable communications into clear, plain English. Starting with existing comms, you'll sort necessary language from habitual jargon, rewrite specialist content, and later build a language matrix and tone-of-voice guide. This is a freelance, project-based role, remote within South Africa, with potential for ongoing work. You'll need strong editorial judgement and the ability to explain your edits.
