Freelance Magazine Writer

Lester Communications Inc. is looking to expand its roster of freelance writers based in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta for ongoing assignments with our trade magazines.

We're particularly looking for writers who are comfortable covering road building, heavy construction and vertical construction, including infrastructure projects, industry trends, companies and the people behind the work.

Assignments typically involve interviewing industry sources and turning those conversations into clear, engaging magazine features. Writers receive detailed assignment sheets with clear direction, interview questions and confirmed sources.

Experience writing for trade or business publications is required. Familiarity with construction, infrastructure or related industries is preferred.

Writers are paid per word, with scope, deadlines and other assignment details provided in advance.
