Culture Shock/Moving Essays

• I moved from Italy to Colorado. I've experienced a lot of culture shock, from the lack of work-life balance to the portion sizes.
• We loved living in Austin but left after 10 years. Big businesses and tech wrecked our favorite parts of the city.
• I moved from a big city to a remote island in Washington that doesn't have a grocery store or gas station. I've never been happier.

Food Rankings:

• I tried 37 flavors of Crumbl cookies and ranked them from worst to best

Celebrity Chef Recipe Reviews:

• I tried Ina Garten's recipe for New York strip steaks. The tender, juicy cuts of meat were some of the best I've ever had.
• I tried Gordon Ramsay's 10-minute steak-sandwich recipe. It was delicious but took me almost an hour to make.

Restaurant Comparisons:

• I ordered the same meal at The Capital Grille and LongHorn Steakhouse. The bigger chain definitely offered the better value.
• I ordered the same meal at Johnny Rockets and Red Robin. The burgers were fine, but my favorite chain had an unmatched ambiance.

Interior Design:

• Interior designers share the 9 trends they wish they saw more of in homes
• I'm an interior designer. I use these 5 cheap tricks to make my clients' living rooms look more expensive.

Fashion:

• I tried on jeans at Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Gap. It reminded me that a good pair is worth the investment.
