We are looking for a freelance educational resource designer to help bring our curriculum to life.

If you have experience designing classroom-ready materials for young people (lesson packs, worksheets, teacher notes, etc) and a background in wellbeing, SEL, or youth-facing content, we would love to hear from you!

The work involves taking curriculum lesson outlines and learning objectives and turning them into polished, teacher-ready resources for secondary school pupils.

human, kind. is hiring a Freelance Educational Resource Designer to support our wellbeing education pilot programme!

About the project and role:

  • human, kind. is developing wellbeing as a school subject – taught regularly, seriously and with the same commitment as any other subject so that young people can dream big and pursue them.
  • We are now piloting our first lessons with secondary schools and need a freelance resource designer to help us build the materials to make that possible.

Essential criteria:

  • Experience designing classroom-ready educational materials
  • Background in wellbeing, SEL or youth-facing content
  • Ability to work from lesson outlines and learning objectives
  • Strong visual design sensibility
  • Able to work to tight turnaround (Summer 2026 delivery)

Contract:

  • Short-term, funded commission
