Project Overview
The Junior League of Chicago is seeking a content marketing creator and/or graphic design consultant to design and produce a DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging)-focused recruitment marketing campaign that helps us attract professional women from all walks of life to join our mission.

This campaign will focus on elevating authentic member stories, improving the clarity and appeal of our recruitment journey, and increasing awareness of JLC’s leadership development opportunities and community impact. All assets will support an May launch in time for our June/July New Member cohort.

Project Goals
The goals of this project are to:

• Increase awareness of JLC’s mission, values, and leadership opportunities.
• Attract a more robust and diverse membership base.
• Ensure prospective members see themselves reflected in JLC through authentic storytelling.
• Support sustained membership growth and engagement.

As a volunteer membership organization, we define success not only by growth, but by the diversity, retention, and leadership participation of our members.

Scope of Work & Deliverables
The selected consultant will collaborate with JLC to concept, design, and produce visual and multimedia assets for a DEIB recruitment marketing campaign, including:

Required Deliverables

  1. Redesign of the “How to Join JLC” Landing Page
    a. Updated layout and visual design
    b. Clear, inclusive messaging
    c. Strong calls-to-action for prospective members
  2. New JLC Member Testimonials Page
    a. Written and/or visual profiles highlighting a diverse range of member experiences
    b. Focus on leadership development, community impact, and belonging
  3. Member Testimonial Video(s)
    a. One or more short-form testimonial videos
    b. Centering diverse voices, backgrounds, and motivations for joining JLC
  4. Short-Form Video & Graphic Assets for Social Media
    a. Bite-sized testimonial clips and/or graphics of members sharing Why They JLC
    b. Optimized for LinkedIn and Instagram
    c. Designed to support paid and organic promotion
    d. Template social assets “Why I Joined JLC”
  5. DEIB Representation
    a. Ensure a diverse range of member profiles and lived experiences are represented across all assets
  6. Launch-Ready Assets
    a. All creative assets finalized and delivered in time for an May campaign launch
    b. Files provided in formats suitable for web and social use
    c. All graphics and templates created in Canva for reuse

Ideal Consultant Profile

• Experience in content marketing, graphic design, and/or video storytelling
• Demonstrated expertise in DEIB-focused campaigns
• Experience working with nonprofits, membership organizations, or mission-driven brands
• Ability to collaborate with volunteer leadership and internal stakeholders
• Strong portfolio showcasing inclusive, authentic storytelling
• Chicago-based

Proposal Requirements

Interested consultants should submit a proposal that includes:

  1. Overview of your approach to this project
  2. Relevant experience and portfolio examples
  3. Proposed timeline aligned to an April launch
  4. Estimated budget and fee structure
  5. Team bios or primary point of contact
  6. Any assumptions or optional recommendations

Budget

A maximum budget of $4,325 is available for this engagement, inclusive of all time, materials, and travel.
