Hey :)
We're looking to hire a Youtube strategist.
You'll be responsible for creating the strategy and coming up with the video ideas for all of our clients.
We're looking for someone who deeply understands YouTube as a business tool. Not just how to get views, but how to use content to build authority, attract the right audience, and drive real results like leads and conversions.
Plus, we're looking for someone with a strong eye for what makes a video actually work.
You'll be part of a growing team that works with some of the most established personal brands and businesses in the B2B space. You'll get an inside look into all of our processes and strategies - and have a direct impact on the results we deliver for clients.
Location: Remote
Time: Starting part-time, transitioning into a full-time role (must cover EU or US working hours)
Pay: $3,000-$10,000/mo depending on experience, working hours, responsibilities, and terms we agree on
Make sure to watch this and read this document for more info about the role.
I'm excited to see your application, and if you're a fit, we'll reach out with next steps.

Mission for YouTube Strategist
To own and drive the YouTube content strategy across all client accounts by:
- Researching and developing video ideas for every client
- Quality checking scripts to ensure they convert and perform
- Quality checking thumbnails to maximize click-through rate
- Analyzing performance data and reporting results to clients
- Communicating with clients on all strategy-related matters
Outcomes // KPIs
1. Every client has a winning content strategy that drives business results
You'll achieve this through these primary methods:
i. YouTube Research and Content Strategy
- Before developing any video ideas, you'll do deep research on the client's niche, competitors, and audience on YouTube using our internal research framework
- Based on that research, you'll build out a content pipeline for each client - ideas designed to attract the right audience, not just views
- Every idea needs a clear business rationale: why this topic, why this angle, and why this viewer is likely to become a lead or customer
- You'll understand the full funnel - how YouTube content drives awareness, builds trust, generates leads, and ultimately contributes to revenue for B2B and educational businesses
ii. Script Quality Control
- You'll review every script our script writer produces before it goes to the client
- Your job is to make sure each script has the right structure, the right tone for the client's brand, and language that actually converts - not just sounds good
- You'll give clear, specific feedback and only approve scripts when they genuinely meet our quality bar
iii. Thumbnail Quality Control
- You'll review every thumbnail our designer creates and give actionable feedback to push the work to a higher level
- You'll make sure every thumbnail is compelling, accurate to the video content, and competitive within the client's niche
iv. Analytics, Reporting, and Client Communication
- On a set cadence, you'll pull performance data from client YouTube channels and turn the numbers into real insights
- You'll communicate those insights directly to clients - not just sharing metrics, but explaining what's working, what isn't, and what should change
- You'll own all client communication related to strategy, video performance, and creative direction
2. Continuous Improvement of Strategy and Quality Standards
i. Raising the Bar
- Stay on top of what's working in the B2B and educational YouTube space and bring those learnings back to the team
- Refine our research framework, content strategy process, and quality checklists over time
ii. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with our script writer and thumbnail designer to build shared standards and give feedback that helps them improve
- Share strategic insights with Samu regularly to inform business decisions
iii. Documenting Processes
- Document your workflows using tools like Loom so they can be taught to future team members
- Build and maintain quality checklists for scripts and thumbnails
Competencies
YouTube as a Business Tool
This is probably the most important one. You need to deeply understand why a company does YouTube in the first place - and it's not for views. You get how YouTube builds authority, generates leads, and drives conversions. You understand how to structure content so it attracts the right type of viewer, not just a large audience. You know how calls to action work on the platform, how to get people to take the next step, and how to tie a video's performance back to actual business outcomes.
Deep YouTube Platform Knowledge
You know the platform inside and out - how channels grow, what the algorithm rewards, how to read an audience, and what separates content that performs from content that just exists. B2B and educational content experience is a must.
Strategic Thinking
You think in terms of outcomes, not output. You understand what a client is trying to achieve and how each video should move them closer to that goal.
Thumbnail and Packaging Intuition
You have a strong eye for what makes a YouTube thumbnail work. You can look at a design and immediately know whether it's going to get clicked or ignored, and you can communicate that clearly to a designer.
Script Sense
You can read a script and quickly spot what's working and what isn't - a weak hook, a buried CTA, pacing that's off, language that doesn't fit the audience. Your feedback makes scripts better in a concrete way.
Analytical Mindset
You're comfortable in YouTube Analytics and can pull out the insights that actually matter. You go beyond views and watch time and connect performance data to what it means for the client's business.
Clear Communication
You can explain strategy and performance data to clients in plain language. You're direct, confident, and easy to work with.
Reliability and Ownership
You take full ownership of your area. Deadlines are met, quality doesn't slip, and clients feel taken care of.
