This is a freelance, REMOTE position.

GameRant is looking for eager and talented Comic & Anime Article Contributors to join our team. At GameRant, we are focused on covering the newest developments and topics in the comics and anime industry. We're looking for writers who are well-versed in a wide variety of related franchises and genres to contribute consistent and high-quality news, features and listicle content to our site. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, driven, communicative, and committed to growing alongside our site's reach and vision. As a Comic & Anime Contributor, you will assist with covering various comic book and anime topics in their respective industries, editorializing important details about the most popular titles, and diving deep into a variety of communities. If you share a passion for comics and/or anime, a love of writing, and a willingness to learn then this is the role for you!

Your Responsibilities

  • Be a dedicated and consistent contributor to the site.
  • Contribute news, features and listicle content related to a variety of comics and anime topics.
  • Have strong editorial instincts and ideate your own topics regularly.
  • Identify compelling writing angles.
  • Research and source topics proficiently.
  • Bring original topics and a plethora of comic and anime knowledge to the table.
  • Work under tight deadlines and submit articles for publication on time.
  • Report to the Lead Editor and implement feedback efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to produce exquisite content.

Experience and Skills

  • Working experience in entertainment journalism or a related field.
  • Experience in producing anime and/or comic book related content.
  • In-depth familiarity with and fierce passion for the respective industries.
  • Knowledge of classics like Naruto, Bleach, Gundam, Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Solo Leveling, and more.
  • Experience with SEO practices.
  • Experience with a custom CMS, preferred.
