Editorial Director

The role

You will own how the company sounds, leading editorial content across the organization and setting language standards that every team draws from. You'll edit, write, and hold a high bar for accuracy, media law, and ethics while leading a team that reports stories from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This is a leadership role centered on a working writer, partnering with colleagues across the organization to ensure language serves Catholic, broader Christian, and secular social-justice audiences authentically. The role is based in Kansas City, Kansas, with a hybrid work arrangement, and may supervise up to four reports.
