Most news jobs are jobs, but this one will help shape how an entire industry thinks. We’re hiring an East Coast Editor at Bisnow. Yes, you’ll help run The First Draft, our flagship daily newsletter, but this role is bigger than one product.
You’ll be:
— Writing sharp, point-of-view analysis
— Editing high-impact CRE reporting across major markets
— Running a team of reporters and elevating their work
— Finding signal in overlooked data
— Helping define what our award-winning newsroom covers (and what we don’t)
This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility hard news role. You need to write fast, think clearly and care a lot about getting it right. If you’ve ever read industry coverage and thought, “This is missing something,” — this is your shot.
OR email me and Bisnow Managing Editor Catie Dixon at mark.bonner@bisnow.com and catie@bisnow.com
And if someone came to mind while reading this, send it to them. Thanks!

BISNOW OVERVIEW
Bisnow is the leading B2B media platform powering the commercial real estate industry. We connect CRE professionals through award-winning news, high-impact events, marketing solutions, recruiting services, and sales enablement tools that drive real business results.
With 1.7M+ subscribers and 400+ events annually across 47 markets in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands, we don’t just cover the industry, we help move it forward.
We inform. We connect. We create opportunities that turn into deals. Global mindset. Hyper-local execution.
We’re seeking a sharp, creative and obsessively curious Senior Editor to help lead Bisnow’s flagship daily newsletter, read by tens of thousands across the commercial real estate industry. This role is equal parts newsletter architect, data sleuth and trend forecaster. You’ll help set the tone and direction for our most visible product — shaping daily news coverage, uncovering rising markets and asset classes and delivering sharp analysis rooted in proprietary and outside-the-box data.
You’ll contribute original writing and strategic editorial vision to the newsletter itself — including a regular in-depth column that anchors the edition with voice, insight and edge.
You will also manage and edit three beat reporters focused on hyperlocal high-impact CRE news and enterprise reporting in their own cities.
This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility role for someone who understands both real estate and the art of writing and reporting that demands to be read. You’ll help steer the daily rhythm, but also elevate the team's work with exclusive charts, smart curation of research and deeper dives into what’s shaping CRE today — and what’s coming next.
