✈️ Freelance Opportunity: Data Journalist at Skyscanner 🌍
Skyscanner is looking for a Data Journalist - someone who sits at the intersection of data, storytelling and PR. If you love uncovering insights that spark conversation and can translate complex datasets into narratives the world wants to read, this one’s for you.
In this role, you will:
🔹 Transform Skyscanner’s rich travel data into compelling stories for travellers, partners and global press
🔹 Combine creativity with analytical rigour - part data scientist, part journalist
🔹 Build and manage data storytelling pipelines for our PR team
🔹 Teach LLMs to ingest and analyse Skyscanner data to power repeatable, scalable stories
🔹 Develop self-serve tooling, frameworks and insight packages for PR agencies and internal teams
We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Is a creative analytical thinker obsessed with meaningful insights
✔️ Has strong data literacy and storytelling instincts
✔️ Understands how to package insights for global consumer and corporate narratives
✔️ Can bring governance, clarity and consistency to how data is used in storytelling
