The Monster Academy & Training Vision

Word Monster’s Monster Academy delivers industry-recognised medical writing training for graduates, career changers, and professionals.

  • 4- and 8-week CPD-accredited live courses
  • Comprehensive introductory e-learning modules

Built on the BITE educational framework, the Academy also supports pharma and agency teams through tailored training and mentoring.

Vision: Build a full-scale training vertical under the BITE framework — led by the Course Instructor and Principal Medical Writer, ensuring exceptional delivery and continuous improvement of training services.


About the Role

This dual role combines course delivery and high-level medical writing responsibilities.

As Course Instructor, you’ll lead medical writing courses and develop new training for pharma and healthcare agencies.
As Principal Medical Writer, you’ll produce clear, scientifically accurate, and engaging content across therapy areas and formats.

You will:

  • Lead training programmes and e-learning development
  • Mentor writers and students
  • Collaborate with clients on diverse projects
  • Uphold quality, compliance, and strategic communication standards

Key Responsibilities

Course Instructor

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality courses to individuals and corporate clients
  • Ensure learning experiences follow adult learning principles
  • Gather and act on feedback for course improvement
  • Update and refine course content based on industry trends
  • Review and provide feedback on student submissions
  • Develop new e-learning modules and repurpose existing ones for CPD
  • Support internal training initiatives and new course development
  • Advocate for the Monster Academy and contribute to marketing content
  • Contribute to the annual Academy report

Principal Medical Writer

  • Produce accurate, compelling scientific materials (publications, congress content, medical education, digital content)
  • Ensure compliance with ABPI and local regulatory codes
  • Follow in-house or client-specific style guidelines
  • Manage deadlines, budgets, and client communications transparently

Other Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation by suggesting new services and process improvements
  • Contribute to business development and continuous growth
