Conversion Copywriter

We’re hiring a Conversion Copywriter ✍️ This is not a “write some ads and landing pages” role. This is about shaping how SaaS buyers understand value.

At Hey Digital (and now Hey Design) copy sits at the centre of everything we do.

Ads don’t work without it.
Product videos fall flat without it.
Landing pages don’t convert without it.

We’re looking for someone who understands that great copy is not clever words. It’s clarity. Positioning. Psychology. Momentum.

What you’ll work on:
→ High-converting landing pages for B2B SaaS
→ Paid ad copy across LinkedIn, Google, YouTube
→ Messaging frameworks that guide creative, not just campaigns
→ Collaborating closely with performance, design, and video to ship work that actually converts

This is not client-side execution in isolation. You’ll be part of the core team shaping how we approach messaging and conversion across dozens of fast-growing SaaS companies.

Hey Digital is a B2B SaaS Performance Marketing Agency that has partnered with some of the hottest companies in the industry like PostHog, Hotjar, Toggl and Pitch (to name a few). We also run Hey Design, our new subscription-based design service, delivering world-class designs to companies like Instantly, Kilo Code and Aikido.

This role is perfect for you if you:

About the role

🦸 Responsibilities:

• Write high-quality, conversion-focused copy for landing pages, websites, paid search ads, and paid social ads for B2B SaaS clients.
• Create compelling creative angles for ads that align with client goals.
• Collaborate closely with our Performance Marketing and Design teams to bring concepts to life.
• Conduct creative audits, performance reviews, and analyse what’s working (and what isn’t) to guide new concepts.
• Adapt messaging and tone of voice for different brands while maintaining clarity and persuasion.
• Improve existing landing pages by crafting copy that increases conversion rates compared to the previous version.
• Brainstorm and develop new ideas for experiments, A/B tests, hooks, and ad concepts.
• Contribute to improving internal systems, templates, processes, and workflow efficiency.
• Consistently meet deadlines and deliver exceptional quality across multiple accounts.

📌 Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of copywriting experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating landing page work.
• Proven ability to write conversion-focused copy for digital channels (landing pages, websites, paid ads).
• Experience writing for B2B SaaS companies or similar tech/digital products.
• Strong understanding of conversion optimization principles and user psychology.
• Ability to adapt tone of voice and messaging to different brands.
• Proficient in using AI tools for ideation, research, and copy optimization.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment managing multiple client accounts.
• Strong project management skills - ability to consistently meet deadlines with high-quality work.
• Experience collaborating with designers and marketing teams.

⭐️ Really nice-to-haves:

• Brand positioning or brand strategy experience.
• Experience conducting creative audits and performance reviews.
• Familiarity with landing page builders (Unbounce, Webflow, etc.).
• Experience with sitemap building.
• Understanding of SaaS metrics (trial signups, demo requests, conversion rates).
• Knowledge of SEO copywriting principles.
• Experience with creative angle development for static and video ads.
• Familiarity with our tool stack (Unbounce, Figma, Slack & ClickUp) for better collaboration.

2. 1st Interview → If selected, we'll schedule 30min to discuss your background, the role and any questions you have about Hey Digital.
3. Paid Skills Assessment → If the interview goes well, we'll send you an assessment to evaluate your practical abilities and ingenuity. Once submitted, we will reimburse you for your time!
4. 2nd Interview → You'll meet with me! We'll dig into some technicalities and learn more about one another.
5. Culture Call → Lastly, you'll meet with some other team members to make sure we are a perfect fit!
