Salary Range: $44,319.64 - $53,737.57
Pay Grade: 108
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Admin Plan: A&P (annual contract)

JOB SUMMARY
This position produces marketing and communications content for use in printed and/or online marketing and communications efforts. Responsibilities may include: researching; drafting; proofreading and editing written materials.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Primarily remote with the ability to attend on campus events and activities as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Writes, edits and proofreads web content, blogs, feature stories and communication materials for a variety of print and online mediums, including, but not limited to, internal and external news platforms, magazine, reports, press releases, media ads, brochures, speeches, scripts, editorial pieces, booklets, flyers, and other collateral to promote various College programs, activities and initiatives.
- Consults with various departments to determine desired marketing and communication needs, and executes marketing and communication plans, projects and strategies.
- Works with the content team, including writers, photographers, social media manager, public relations coordinator and others, to coordinate story assignments, artwork, designs and other supporting content.
- Ensure content meets established style and communications guidelines and branding of the College.
- Creates or procures images for stories and publications.
- Manages project workflow withing the department¿s project management system, which includes tracking projects and progress, prioritizing project needs, determining work assignments and ensuring department efficiency.
- Researches and produces marketing collateral and messaging for specific audiences including prospective students, currently enrolled students, community members and employees.
- Attends events and activities on campus as needed, to report on activities and create relevant promotional content. Some activities may occur outside of normal business hours, such as commencement.
- Conducts research and gathers content for special projects.
- Creates ad content for newspapers, radio, etc.
- Uses sophisticated content management software to create and edit content to support strategic marketing and communications initiatives.
- Attends (virtually or in-person) events for the planning and implementation of marketing collateral and presents and communicates content ideas to stakeholders.
- Monitors trends in marketing and promotion.
- Assists in the compilation and monitoring of analytics for certain communication projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in mass communications, public relations or related field; two (2) years of related work experience in the mass media/mass communications, marketing, public information, web design or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.

- Assisting with coordination of the preparation and publication of a variety of marketing, promotional and/or communication materials;
- Designing concepts for publications and website content;
- Incorporating graphics and photography in editorial content;
- Using a computer and related software applications; and
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with assigned employees; coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
Ability to:
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Flexibility to attend occasional events or activities outside of normal business hours, such as commencement.
