We're looking for a content marketer with experience running a long-form deliverable production process—including: interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs), creating briefs for freelance writers, and participating the long-form editorial process.

From interviewing experts in their field to working with a talented team of writers, this is your chance to work on content projects you can get excited about.

We'll save you the whole "hop on the rocket ship" speech—but if you're ready to combine your creative passion with your project management skills, this might be the role for you.

Who you are

We're looking to work with a B2B content marketer. You should:

(a) Already know good content like the back of your hand. It's not uncommon for you to read the back of a cereal box and dream up your own spin on a campaign.

(b) Be looking to grow into the next level of your career by running interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), strategic conversations with our Head of Client Strategy & Success and Senior Content Producer, and project management with our talented team of freelance writers.

(c) Have a growth mindset: you're ready and willing to take on new challenges as your role evolves.

We're open to working with the right fit no matter where you're coming from. Maybe you started your content journey at a marketing or creative agency or software start-up, and now you're ready to learn from new opportunities. Either way, we're excited to talk to you.

You have:

  • Hands-on, recent writing and editing experience for mid-market and enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Some experience as a key contributor to a content campaign or working on content strategy either at an agency or in-house.
  • Experience with long-form content and other forms of copywriting (e.g. landing pages, and email).
  • A penchant and proven track record for strong project management
  • Active-listening skills: the ability and desire to conduct quality interviews with the smartest experts in B2B.
  • Experience working directly with vendors, freelancers, partners, and customers.
  • At least 2 years of experience in B2B content marketing (with a readiness to be trained in Beam's philosophy, process, and standards).

You might have:

  • Some experience creating content for a range of channels (earned media and thought leadership, sales enablement, demand gen, etc.)
  • Content experience across a range of industries (healthcare, supply chain, data security, etc.)
  • An eye for visual content—maybe you've worked with designers or dabbled in Canva or Figma.
  • Experience with ClickUp (or comparable project management tools).

Your responsibilities

  • Client content strategy: Collaborate with the wider Delivery team to establish, maintain, and update client content strategy based on on-going client inputs, messaging updates, interviews, and research.
  • Brief creation: Translate overarching client content strategy into individual briefs. Each brief details internal and external research, client and audience context, and a unique outline to create a narrative frame and focus for each client deliverable.
  • Subject matter expert interviews: Conduct in-depth interviews with internal experts, customers, partners, and thought leaders to capture their unique voice and bring specificity to each piece of content we create.
  • Content editing: Revise content with an eye for the brief and client brand voice, provide feedback to freelancers on the developmental and line editing for individual drafts, and incorporate client revisions (translating feedback to editorial team for long-term consistency).
  • Project management: Your manager will own client-facing PM, but as a Content Producer you will help maintain our project management standards and keep individual deliverables on track. Effective communication with the wider team across internal tools is a crucial element of success in this role.
