The most immediate need is that we're hiring a content marketer in Nigeria.

Salary is 600k per month and 7.2 million naira a year.

The main thing we're looking for is someone who considers themselves a creative and understands storytelling

Can you work with a guest author to flesh out a content brief that tells an engaging story

Can you write blog content and social copy?

Do you know how to use LLMs like ChatGPT to build content workflows, and are you willing to learn how to take your workflows to the next level?

Do you consider yourself an individual contributor who can work without oversight, meet deadlines, brainstorm ideas, and help us achieve our goals?

I am averse to folks who use ChatGPT to write answers when applying for opportunities we share.

I can always tell, and it shows that you're relying on AI to do the heavy lifting, which is a red flag.

We want creative folks who have a gift for writing engaging content and know how to use AI to automate manual tasks.

Content Marketer (Full-Time Contract) – FCDC

📍 Remote, Nigeria-based

FCDC (Freelance Coalition for Developing Countries) is hiring a Content Marketer, and this opportunity is exclusive to applicants in Nigeria due to operational reasons.

We’re looking for someone who can take full ownership of our content needs from social and blog posts to emails and the occasional website copy. If you have a strong writing voice, understand content strategy, and know how to write for humans, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Ability to use AI to create content workflows.
• Create and schedule social media content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter/X
• Write engaging emails, including newsletters, updates, and campaign launches
• Produce blog content that’s insightful, helpful, and optimized for SEO
• Refresh or write website copy as needed
• Plan and manage the content calendar with a clear strategy
• Use storytelling to help authors tell better stories

What We’re Looking For

• Must be based in Nigeria
• Some experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a similar role
• Portfolio with writing samples
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to content
• Clear, concise writing style with a knack for storytelling
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute ideas
• Bonus: Familiarity with the freelance or creator economy
