Will Power is our public awareness campaign. Weβre inspiring Canadians to create big, meaningful change by using their Wills, RRSPs and other financial tools to give back.
In just five years, the campaign has grown into a national movement. The number of Canadians whoβve included a charitable gift in their Will has doubled, representing a major increase in future funds for important causes in this country.
Weβre looking for a Fractional Content Lead to bring consistency to Will Powerβs organic marketing.
This is a new role that sits at the centre of our content ecosystem β working with our agencies and charity/advisor partners on blogs, emails and other key pieces. Our aim is to increase output without sacrificing quality.
The Content Lead will ensure everything we put into the world is clear, compelling and sounds like us.
Youβre a strong writer, a sharp editor, and have a good eye for design.
β Translate Will Powerβs tone and positioning into a clear, practical voice guide
β Ensure consistency in how we communicate across all channels
β Lead development of a focused content calendar aligned with campaign priorities
β Work with agency on briefs for blogs, email, and social content
β Work closely with agency partners responsible for content production and channel execution
β Provide first-pass review and editing of emails, social posts and other content pieces
β Ensure everything we publish is clear, compelling, and aligned with Will Powerβs voice
β Collaborate with translation partners to ensure French content is adapted appropriately
β Act as the central point of alignment across all content outputs
β Lead development of campaign assets like proposals, webinars, onboarding and training materials, and partner newsletters
β Conduct interviews with charity/advisor partners to inform content
β Write 2-3 blogs per month
β’ Experience in a senior content role (e.g. Content Lead, Editorial Director, or similar) with a strong track record of shaping and elevating brand voice
β’ Superb writing, editing and storytelling skills - able to turn complex ideas into approachable and engaging content
β’ Strong editorial judgement and sense of audience β ideally within the charitable space where language and motivations are often different
β’ A good eye for design and the ability to create simple assets when needed (e.g. Canva)
β’ Experience developing multi-channel content strategies with an understanding of how content performs (e.g. familiarity with SEM)
β’ Curios and current β keeps an eye on content marketing trends and brings new ideas forward
β’ Organized and responsive - comfortable project managing multiple partners and priorities
β’ Fluent or working knowledge of French is an asset
Engagement Type: Part-time contract (fractional)
Term: Ongoing engagement, with an initial 6 month term and potential to extend
Compensation: $85-$110/hour, based on experience.
Location: The role is fully remote, anywhere in Canada with a reliable internet connection.
Time Commitment: 20-30 hours per month, depending on priorities
This position is ideal for an independent contractor comfortable working in a fractional capacity.
