Location: Remote

Position Overview:
The Daily Grace Co. is seeking a contract writer for a special project: a Christ-centered book that offers biblical encouragement and hope to women navigating the challenges of postpartum life. The ideal candidate will have strong theological insight, excellent writing skills, and a compassionate understanding of postpartum struggles, including emotional, physical, and psychological challenges. She should recognize that postpartum difficulties can affect women in deeply personal ways, and that some of these experiences may require professional mental health support. Because this project addresses intimate and sensitive experiences, the writer has likely personally navigated postpartum challenges and is able to write with authenticity, empathy, and Christ-centered hope.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (studies in theology, Bible, counseling, psychology, or related fields preferred)
  • Comprehensive understanding of covenant theology
  • An understanding of biblical theology and how all of Scripture points to Jesus
  • Personal experience with postpartum challenges, with the ability to write authentically about these struggles
  • Familiarity with how postpartum struggles intersect with mental and emotional health (e.g., postpartum anxiety, depression, fatigue, identity shifts, relational tension)
  • Ability to make deep theological truths accessible to a broad audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with the writing and editing process
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with collaborative writing and constructive feedback

Scope of Work:

  • Research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript (50,000–75,000 word book) on postpartum struggles from a biblical perspective
  • Weave together theology, Scripture, encouragement, and practical application with sensitivity to readers’ experiences
  • Incorporate stories, examples, and applications that resonate with women navigating the various struggles of the postpartum period
  • Collaborate with the editorial team for feedback and revisions
  • Ensure theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitments

Commitment: Contract, per-project basis

Compensation: Determined per project scope

Additional Information:
Contractors are engaged based on the needs of specific projects and are not guaranteed ongoing or full-time work. Participation in team meetings, workshops, and collaborative sessions may be requested based on project type and timeline.
