Freelance Writer for Sharp, Human B2B SaaS Copy

Overview

Magneti is looking for a copywriter with a background in B2B SaaS who knows how to connect with and influence leaders in the homeless services industry. This isn’t your typical jargon-heavy, written-for-corpo-robots copy gig: our client offers software and strategic support to help communities fight homelessness, and they’re friendly, mission-driven, a bit witty, and of course, smart as a whip. 

If you have a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in B2B SaaS across a range of formats (blogs, emails, landing pages, one-pagers, etc.), you may be a great fit. Bonus points if you have copywriting experience in the homeless services industry as well. 

• Pay: $60–$75/hr
• Estimated Workload: 10 to 20 hours per month
• Start Date: ASAP

Who You Are

We’re after a writer who’s a great communicator and collaborator. Someone who: 

• Has a portfolio of writing in B2B SaaS — ideally, with a strong focus on mission-driven impact

• Is comfortable writing across a range of formats: LinkedIn ads, email nurture sequences, landing pages, one-pagers, and more

• Solves problems proactively and welcomes feedback

• Cuts right to the core of complex topics, making them sparkle without losing their nuance (think “smart simple” not “stupid simple”)

• Does careful research and isn’t afraid to ask questions 

• Can modulate voice and tone based on target audience segment: from high-level decision-makers in homeless services to folks doing the day-to-day work (outreach workers, case managers, etc.) 

• Thinks strategically from a 30,000-foot view as well as a ground-level view, considering the overall goals of the campaign alongside individual word choices
