We're going to build an AI-native content team at CoLab, and I'm hiring for the Editor in Chief.
If you want to get paid to build the AI playbook that every other content marketing org copies for the next 5 years, this is the role for you.
Here's the scope:
Our mission is to scale high quality content, not AI slop. That's going to start with the strategy.
This role will revolve around producing content series -- nothing will be one off.
This allows us to spend an unreasonable amount of time defining strategic guardrails for each series on the front end.
This part is human-centric on purpose: people defining content offers for other people.
Once the series is defined, you'll work with CoLab's in-house technical team to design a team of AI agents that handles series production end to end:
-How do we scan internal and external data sources to identify topics and hooks?
-How do we prep for and execute SME interviews?
-How do we turn those unique insights into compelling content?
-How do we repurpose and distribute across channels?
You'll remain involved as the orchestrator, editor in chief, and final arbitrator of taste.
We have one (soon to be two) technical resources dedicated to supporting internal tool build outs like this full time.
You are:
-An experienced content marketer: you know what good looks like, because you've done it yourself the old fashioned way
-A bit of a hacker: you want to be on the forefront of what's next with AI
-Customer obsessed: you think of content like a product that must be competitively differentiated and earn attention
My preference is to hire this role full time in house, but if you are exceptional and in house is a deal breaker, I am open to considering a contractor or *nimble* agency. DM me.
For full time applicants: more info on how to apply in the comments 👇

Tips for applying:
-An actual human reads the application
-This is the application question I care about the most: Tell us about the AI content marketing workflow you are most proud of (bonus points if you include a link to a demo)*
-Due to the volume of apps we typically receive, I cannot commit to phone calls outside the formal process
-I can answer questions, if you're on the fence about applying
-If you read this and want to DM me, include an 🍊 in your message

At CoLab, we want to help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to the world years sooner. Our customers include the world’s largest, most advanced manufacturing companies – like Ford, Johnson Controls, and Bombardier.
We build AI and collaboration software that helps product development teams complete better, faster design iterations. Any time an engineer needs to make a design decision, they open CoLab. They can visualize and compare designs, discuss them with other people, track comments, and get AI-powered suggestions based on their organization’s collective technical knowledge.
We’re investing in a small number of high-quality, recurring content series that serve engineering leaders and technical decision-makers. As Content Systems Architect, your job is to own the execution and growth of those series — not by writing content yourself, but by building AI-powered systems.
You’ll work closely with our CMO to define the guardrails and positioning for each series. From there, your role is to turn that vision into a repeatable production engine. That means thinking like both a media producer and a systems designer.
For each series, you’ll map the production workflow:
Then you’ll work with our internal AI and GTM systems team to design and operationalize a team of agents that support those steps.
Once the system is running, you’ll act as Editor in Chief: orchestrating AI agents and applying editorial judgment across outputs. Ultimately, each series is a product, and you own the outcomes. Success means growing an audience for each series, and growing CoLab’s brand in the process.
You want to own something that matters: not random blog posts, not “supporting content.” A flagship series — the kind that builds a brand. You look at Gong Labs or Carta’s Data Desk and think: I want to be the person who owns that.
You’ve created content yourself, so you know what good looks like. But you’re just as excited about building AI-powered systems that help you ship better content (and more of it). At CoLab, you’ll have access to strong subject matter experts, real company buy-in, and an internal team building AI-powered go-to-market systems. You’ll collaborate with them to design the workflows that power your series.
If you want to get paid to build the AI-driven content system that other B2B SaaS companies spend the next 5 years copying, this is that opportunity.
