AEO Content Manager

🚨 I’m hiring an AEO Content Manager to join my team at Varonis.

AI has fundamentally changed search and content consumption. We’re not experimenting or waiting to see what happens. We’re looking for someone who’s already operating in that reality.

This role is for someone who is deeply embedded in AEO/GEO strategies and understands how AI answer engines, LLMs, and community‑sourced content are reshaping how brands are discovered, represented, and trusted online. You'll have exceptional writing skills and editorial judgement, with FULL ownership of our blog content strategy.

Varonis is seeking a AEO Content Manager to elevate our visibility across modern search surfaces, AI answer engines, and community-driven platforms. This role will strategically shape Varonis' AI-driven search experiences, optimize our content for zero-click environments, and ensure our expertise surfaces accurately and authoritatively across the evolving search landscape.

As a member of the Content Marketing team, you’ll also fully own the management, maintenance, and strategic development of our company blog to boost visibility in LLMs and search engines. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of modern search optimization knowledge, content production, and exceptional writing skills.

This is a fast-growing team with a lot of opportunities for growth. The role is fully remote and open to candidates in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Own, produce, and editorially review search-focused content for Varonis’ blog, website, sales enablement, and more, that effectively engages target audiences in the cybersecurity industry.
• Audit and update blog and website content to ensure LLMs are getting the correct, current messaging and technical details.
• Maintain and expand Varonis’ FAQ coverage by mapping industry questions to authoritative content, ensuring accuracy and alignment across all content sources.
• Experiment with new content formats and distribution methods, tailored for modern search behaviors to increase visibility and answer-intent coverage.
• Own daily monitoring and strategy for Reddit, cybersecurity forums, and Q&A platforms that LLMs consider high-trust inputs.
• Track perception-shaping conversations and propose content responses that help shape Varonis’ reputation and keep content timely, accurate, and influential.
• Maintain a cross-functional partnership with internal SMEs to capitalize on content opportunities and ensure technical accuracy, especially in rapidly evolving areas like SaaS and AI security.
• Analyze performance of AEO-driven content, organic traffic patterns, and LLM citation indicators, and leverage tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, social listening, etc. to identify emerging opportunities and prioritize content updates.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years in SEO content creation, editorial roles, or similar B2B content experience. Cybersecurity industry experience a bonus.
• Deep understanding of modern SEO principles and emerging AEO/GEO search practices and strategies.
• Experience engaging in technical communities such as Reddit, Hacker News, cybersecurity forums, etc., from a brand perspective.
• Familiarity with AP Style and other writing standards.
• Skilled at producing written content and storytelling, with the ability to make complex topics relatable and easy to understand.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Creative and critical thinker, able to generate innovative ideas for optimization.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
