YouTube Script Writer

Fextralife is one of the world's largest gaming wikis and community hubs. We help millions of players every month find the information they need, from character builds to item databases to loot tables. We’re looking for a freelance script writer to create engaging, informative, and well-structured scripts for Fextralife’s YouTube channel. This role is ideal for someone deeply passionate about RPGs who can translate complex game systems, builds, and lore into clear, compelling video content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write scripts for YouTube videos (guides, builds, rankings, news, and lore content)
• Break down complex gameplay mechanics into accessible explanations
• Research games thoroughly, including mechanics, updates, and meta shifts
• Collaborate closely with the lead producer to align tone and structure
• Adapt writing style to match Fextralife’s voice and authority
• Revise scripts based on feedback and performance insights
• Structure scripts for strong audience retention, including compelling hooks, logical pacing, and satisfying conclusions.
• Work under tight deadlines and submit scripts for production on time.

Requirements:

• Strong writing skills
• Deep knowledge of RPGs, especially Soulslikes, ARPGs, and similar genres (ex: Elden Ring, Diablo IV, Crimson Desert)
• Ability to write clear, structured, and engaging scripts (5–15 min videos)
• Strong research skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently
