NIA Production is hiring a Script Writer for our long-form footage-led true crime YouTube channel.
We build 50-60 minute documentary-style breakdowns of real incidents caught on camera, bodycam, live TV, CCTV, and amateur footage of events that actually happened. The standard is Nick Crowley. That is who you need to study.
What the role looks like:
- 1-2 scripts per week, 7,500-8,500 words each
- 20+ segments per script, narrated tightly around verified footage
- Cause-effect Jenga structure that never releases tension early
- Research is fully provided. The craft has to be yours.
Compensation: $25 per 1,000 words, scaling with length. Full-time path available as the channel grows.
Who we are looking for:
- Someone who watches this content because they love it, not because it is a job
- Proven ability to write fast-paced, disturbing narratives that let footage carry the story
- You treat revision feedback as the work, not a criticism
