hey so storyarb's sales pipeline blew up overnight and I actually need to hire a new copywriter, like, yesterday 😅
this could be you if:✅ you are a word nerd with excellent copywriting chops (strong hooks, story flow, specificity)
✅ you have subject matter fearlessness that lets you write across industries and tackle new topics
✅ you are meticulously organized about your client book, managing resources and up-to-date style guides that help you write consistently
✅ you have something cool to teach your fellow writers in our biweekly L+D sessions
✅ bonus points for govtech/fintech background, but not a requirement
✅ you can start on Monday (kidding...kind of)
the process is:
➡️ you read the JD [below]
➡️ you apply at [click apply]
➡️ if we think you're a good potential fit, we send you a 3-part writing assessment to give us a deeper sense of your writing skills — and give YOU a sense of what a storyarb CW's day-to-day feels like
➡️ if we like what we see in the assessment, we move on to interviews with the 'arb team
feel free to DM me questions! feel extra free to DM me referrals.

Job Description – Copywriter
storyarb
New York, New York
Position: Copywriter, Full-time
Salary Range: $70K–$90K*
Location: Fully Remote (US only)
Reports To: Creative Director, Copy
We are seeking a master wordsmith with a knack for navigating the nuances of language to join our team as a full-time Copywriter. You will be responsible for translating content outlines submitted by clients or the storyarb team into compelling content that converts. You’ll learn about various industries and niches to ensure content is created and elevated from a place of knowledge. You’ll turn the stories of world-class execs and businesses into killer copy across formats — company and executive social, newsletters, playbooks, case studies, and more — helping clients not only speak to their audiences, but sing.
Your versatility as a writer is one of your most prized assets. Like a chameleon, you adapt to various voices, crafting narratives that feel deeply human. You’re a creative force who can weave engaging stories across any medium and an unflappable researcher who can get smart on any topic quickly. You maintain high-specificity, on-voice content that captures attention regardless of platform. You’re humble, collaborative, and growth-oriented — you know that great writing comes from learning, adapting, and working together.
Bottom Line: You are a narrative architect — a story-weaver who sees beyond the page and into the minds of clients and their audiences.
storyarb’s compensation follows a pay-for-performance model. Base pay is based on market location and may vary by skills, experience, and internal equity.
