Good Money Guide is a leading financial comparison and review website, helping consumers choose the right companies for investing, trading, savings, banking, insurance and international money transfers.

We're looking for a hands-on Website Editor to take responsibility for the day-to-day quality, accuracy and performance of GoodMoneyGuide.com.

You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our expert reviews, comparison pages, financial guides, news, interviews and analysis, ensuring our content is accurate, timely, SEO-optimised and genuinely useful to readers ranging from first-time investors to experienced professionals.

Working directly with the founder and our network of expert financial contributors, you'll oversee editorial production and content integrity across the site.

We need someone who is equally comfortable writing and editing financial content, working directly in WordPress, updating comparison tables, analysing SEO performance and making sure the website is accurate, useful and commercially effective.

  • Location: Remote – UK-based preferred
  • Salary: £35,000 per annum
  • Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Main Responsibilities

You will take ownership of maintaining and improving content across Good Money Guide, including:

  • Maintaining and updating content across GoodMoneyGuide.com to ensure accuracy, clarity and freshness.
  • Editing and publishing reviews, comparisons, financial guides, news, analysis and interviews using WordPress.
  • Liaising with financial writers and expert contributors to commission, review and improve submissions.
  • Keeping product information, pricing, fees, ratings and provider details accurate and up to date.
  • Managing and improving structured comparison tables, expert ratings and commercial landing pages.
  • Ensuring content is consistent with our in-house tone, editorial style and FCA requirements where applicable.
  • Ensuring affiliate relationships and commercial content are appropriately disclosed.
  • Monitoring content and SEO performance using tools including Google Search Console, SEMrush and analytics platforms.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing pages for rankings, click-through rates, readability and conversion.
  • Carrying out regular content audits to identify outdated information, broken links, formatting issues and poor user experiences.
  • Working directly in WordPress and Elementor to update page content, formatting and layouts.
  • Checking links, CTAs, comparison tables and other important page elements.
  • Working with financial companies to verify information and obtain product and company updates.
  • Supporting Good Money Guide's awards, surveys, proprietary research and industry reports.
  • Working closely with the founder and marketing team to support campaigns, newsletters and social media activity.
  • Maintaining consistently high editorial standards across a large and growing library of financial content.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with strong editorial judgement, excellent attention to detail and plenty of common sense. You should be organised, commercially aware and proactive, with the ability to spot what needs updating, fixing or improving without always needing to be asked.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Strong editorial skills and experience publishing online financial content, ideally for a B2C audience.
  • Excellent written English and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong experience working with CMS platforms, particularly WordPress.
  • A good understanding of UK retail investing, trading, savings and currency transfer services.
  • The ability to understand financial products and explain them clearly to consumers.
  • Good working knowledge of SEO and how to optimise content for both search engines and readers.
  • Experience using Google Search Console, SEMrush or similar SEO and analytics tools.
  • Confidence working with spreadsheets, comparison tables and structured information.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a large existing content library.
  • An understanding of financial promotions, FCA requirements and the importance of accuracy in financial publishing.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work remotely and autonomously.

Experience within financial comparison, fintech, investment platforms, financial publishing or affiliate websites would be particularly valuable.

Key Objectives

Your objective will be to make Good Money Guide more accurate, better organised, easier to maintain and more useful to its readers.

We want our most important reviews and comparison pages to remain current, authoritative and competitive in search while maintaining the editorial standards that have built Good Money Guide's reputation.

You will also take ownership of routine publishing and website maintenance, allowing the founder to concentrate more time on growth, partnerships, PR, commercial relationships and strategy.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership. If you spot an outdated review, incorrect product detail, broken comparison table or an opportunity to make a page significantly better, we want you to fix it rather than wait to be asked.

What You Get

  • £35,000 annual salary
  • Fully remote working with flexible hours.
  • 25 days' annual leave, plus UK bank holidays
  • Direct access to expert contributors and experienced financial journalists.
  • Autonomy and significant ownership of the Good Money Guide website.
  • Creative input and the opportunity to help shape our editorial direction.
  • The opportunity to play an important role in the next stage of Good Money Guide's growth, with performance-related profit sharing that rewards you as the business succeeds.
