APE Studio seeks to engage a consultant with expertise in analytics, UX optimization, and multi-channel campaigns to advise on a marketing strategy that will deliver measurable growth and elevate brand performance.
APE Studio is a playground design, planning, and equipment sales company that is changing the landscape of play in North America.
We do this by creating holistic, challenging playspaces that embrace the natural environment and consider the needs of all users.
In collaboration with our international partners, landscape architects, and designers, as well as playground owners, funders, and private institutions, we are connecting people and enriching communities through the transformative power of play. We don’t simply plan and provision playgrounds — we create play environments that spark joy for all ages.
Our portfolio includes signature parks such as Chicago’s Maggie Daley Park, which attracts over one million visitors a year, and Brooklyn Bridge Park and Governors Island, two destination parks in New York Harbor. The playground at the Ringling Museum of Art was one of Parent magazine’s “10 Trips to Take Before Your Kid Turns 10.”
In the summer of 2018, APE Studio celebrated the opening of Tulsa’s Gathering Place, the country’s largest public playground and the winner of USA Today’s 2024 Best City Park. In 2025, the 18.5-acre Gipson Play Plaza at Dix Park opened in Raleigh, with many more projects on the horizon, including Riverfront Landing in Jacksonville, which opens this spring.

APE Studio has active initiatives in place but lacks a cohesive marketing and digital strategy. Your role will be to provide senior-level strategic perspective to unify existing efforts, working collaboratively with APE Studio’s existing team to create a clear vision and measurable results framework.
Specifically:
Create a centralized brand platform including mission, vision, audience definitions, messaging hierarchy, and visual direction. Review and align existing brand strategy work with business objectives.
Map key customer journeys for landscape architects, institutional buyers, and design professionals. Clarify where marketing should influence decision-making throughout the sales cycle.
Conduct UX audit and sitemap redesign to support upcoming website redesign. Develop CTA strategy, optimize existing content, and improve product/service storytelling to align with new brand direction.
Build a platform-by-platform content system that supports brand pillars (education, thought leadership, product storytelling, case studies). Review and refine existing social media strategy and campaign plans.
Create a standardized event playbook for annual conferences (landscape architects, children’s museums, science museums, parks alliance). Develop lead nurturing workflows to convert conference connections into qualified opportunities. Connect webinars and lunch-and-learns to a comprehensive content ecosystem with clear conversion paths.
We envision a 3- to 6-month contract, with the possibility for a longer-term engagement.
