UX Content Strategy Director

I’m excited to share that we’re hiring a UX Content Strategy Director to join our growing UX organization at Empower.

This role will lead an established team of talented content experts and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of our content design practice during an important period of growth and transformation for the company.

Whoever steps into this role will work closely with me and the broader design leadership team to help define not just what we create, but how we work together as a practice. That includes evolving our operating model, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and helping us think responsibly about how emerging technologies like AI support the work.

As a UX Content Strategy Director, you will be responsible for leading the development of compelling and user-centric content across our digital products. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of user experience and a proven track record of crafting impactful and cohesive messaging.

What you will do:

• Lead the development of user-centric content that enhance the overall user experience across digital products.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and product goals, translating these insights into effective content.
• Collaborate with the brand team to establish and maintain a cohesive and consistent tone of voice across all digital touchpoints.
• Conduct content audits and ensure alignment with brand guidelines, UX content standards and user experience best practices.
• Provide direction and mentorship to a team of UX content strategists, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate content seamlessly into the overall design and user experience.
   

What you will bring:

• 8+ years of experience in content strategy, with a focus on digital products and user interfaces
• Proven experience in leading and directing UX content strategy for large-scale projects
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful content strategy projects and a deep understanding of the impact of language on user behavior
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate and advocate for content decisions
• Experience conducting user research to inform and validate content decisions
• Familiarity with design tools and processes, collaborating effectively with UX/UI designers
• Bachelor's degree in communications, English, UX Design, or a related field (master's degree is a plus)

Base Salary Range

$125,400.00 - $181,875.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
