About This Role

Omniscient Digital is hiring a UK-based freelance content writer to create long-form, high-quality written content for B2B SaaS clients. This is a remote, freelance role focused on writing in British English for professional audiences across industries such as procurement, compliance, operations, finance, and enterprise software.

You’ll work with our editorial team to produce content that is clear, well-structured, and optimized for SEO — with an emphasis on writing that is both insightful and conversion-oriented.

If you’re experienced in writing B2B content and fluent in British English, we’d love to hear from you. The application passcode is rainbow sausage rolls.

Please note that we do not work with writers who subcontract their work.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, long-form content in British English for B2B and SaaS audiences in industries like procurement, compliance, and finance.
• Conduct in-depth research to understand client offerings, industry trends, and buyer pain points — ensuring accuracy and depth in every piece.
• Structure articles clearly and logically using detailed briefs provided by our editorial team. You’ll add clarity, flow, and coherence to every draft.
• Follow SEO best practices, including thoughtful keyword integration, heading structure, and meta descriptions — without sacrificing readability.
• Source and cite reputable data, examples, and industry benchmarks to support arguments and build credibility.
• Tailor your tone and language to reflect each client’s brand voice and audience — whether you're writing for procurement leads or operations executives.
• Collaborate with editors to revise and refine your work based on constructive feedback.
• Communicate proactively about timelines, blockers, or questions as you progress through assignments.

Who You Are

• Based in the UK and fluent in British English. You understand the spelling, grammar, and tone expectations of a UK-based professional audience.
• A strong B2B writer with 2–3 years of experience creating content for SaaS, enterprise services, procurement, compliance, or adjacent verticals.
• Capable of turning complex topics into digestible, well-structured, and informative content — especially for non-technical but business-savvy readers.
• Familiar with SEO writing principles, including how to structure content for search while keeping reader value at the forefront.
• Able to write for different audience segments — from operations leads to procurement managers to executive decision-makers.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and responsive. You manage deadlines well and communicate clearly with your editors and collaborators.
• Open to feedback and eager to continuously improve your craft through collaboration.
• A degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Portfolio Requirement

Please submit 3–5 writing samples in British English. At least two should demonstrate your ability to write for B2B or SaaS audiences. Older samples are welcome if accompanied by more recent work.
